And in 2025 in the Hague at a NATO summit, all Member States, including the USA with Trump present, confirmed their commitment to Ukraine. 2025, one year ago. How trustworthy the USA is at this moment to his international friends and allies?
Ukraine gave up a nuclear arsenal valued at over $1 trillion dollars, including 4,500 nuclear warheads. Guess who asked Ukraine to do this? We did! The United States of America did and we guaranteed the security of Ukraine.
We signed this agreement in 1994.
We long for Presidents like Roosevelt who did not abandon or betray friends and allies.
The final pieces of the puzzle are falling into place, revealing an increasingly disturbing picture of what is happening behind the scenes in Washington.
If you are still wondering where Donald Trump's hysterical attacks on Kyiv come from, why he keeps making absurd claims about "the rain that saved Ukraine," and why he responds so aggressively to journalists who challenge him, consider the analysis of someone who understands the inner workings of the White House.
Dr. Fiona Hill, a former senior White House national security official and one of America's leading experts on Russia, has offered a deeply troubling interpretation of Trump's behavior.
Trump wants Zelenskyy to capitulate.
Why? Because, according to this interpretation, the entire situation comes down to something painfully simple: Trump's wounded ego.
This is a man who promised to end the war in Ukraine within 24 hours. He imagined himself receiving the Nobel Peace Prize and being celebrated as one of the greatest peacemakers in history. He envisioned a spectacular diplomatic triumph that would secure his place in the history books.
Instead, his grand promises have collided with reality.
Months have passed, the magical peace agreement has failed to materialize, and the Kremlin dictator continues to reject proposals that do not satisfy his demands. Putin has repeatedly demonstrated that he has little interest in helping Trump achieve his political ambitions.
So who should Trump blame for this humiliating failure?
Himself? Absolutely not. In Trump's political universe, admitting a mistake is practically unthinkable.
Putin? Apparently not. Trump continues to treat the Kremlin dictator as a powerful leader worthy of respect, despite Russia's continuing destruction of Ukrainian cities and the deaths of innocent civilians.
That leaves one convenient target: Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Trump is furious because the Ukrainian president refuses to surrender, refuses to kneel before Moscow, and refuses to sign an agreement that would sacrifice his country's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
He is furious because an entire nation refuses to capitulate to an aggressor merely so the 47th president of the United States can stand before the cameras and declare himself the man who ended the war.
And now, as Hill's analysis suggests, the pressure is increasingly being directed not at Moscow, which launched the invasion, but at Kyiv, which is fighting for its survival.
The apparent calculation is that Washington, potentially supported by war-weary European governments, can pressure Ukraine into accepting terms that would allow Trump to claim a diplomatic victory, regardless of the long-term consequences for Ukrainian security.
But the price of this political spectacle is not measured in television ratings, headlines, or Nobel Prize nominations.
It is measured in the blood of Ukrainian soldiers defending their country in freezing trenches. It is measured in the lives of civilians killed by Russian missiles and drones, in destroyed homes, shattered families, kidnapped children, and entire cities reduced to ruins.
Ukraine is fighting an aggressor determined to destroy its independence. At the same time, Ukrainians must confront the possibility that some of those who call themselves allies may place their own political ambitions above Ukraine's survival.
There is something profoundly disturbing about demanding concessions from the country being invaded while treating the invading dictator as an indispensable partner in negotiations.
Ukraine did not start this war.Ukraine did not invade Russia.Ukraine is not responsible for Putin's imperial ambitions or Trump's unfulfilled political promises.
And Ukrainians should not be expected to pay for anyone's wounded pride with their freedom, their territory,or their lives.
A peace agreement that rewards aggression and leaves Ukraine defenseless is not a historic diplomatic victory. It risks becoming an invitation to the next war.

Trump only worries about the #Midterms. Blaming everybody for the oil pricehike. Witch he himself caused because of his war on #Iran Once again he, together with Netanyahu, seems to plan resuming attacks on Iran of course AFTER the midterms. Experts expect new pricehikes.
Schröder, misschien Duitsers vragen naar zijn betrouwbaarheid.
Schröder, voormalig kanselier Duitsland LEGT DE WAARHEID BLOOT: “Vrede gesaboteerd!
Schröder waarschuwt nadrukkelijk: “De nucleaire dreiging is reëel.

In the "Budapest Memorandum" both the Russian Federation as the USA promised to respect and safeguard the Ukrainian borders. In exchange Ukraine handed over its nuclear power to Russia. In The Hague all NATO members committed enduring support and aid to Ukraine ,1 year ago..2025
Angela Merkel admitted Minsk was only a stall to arm Ukraine. Hardly the first Western betrayal of its word. So why would Russia trust a ceasefire now that Ukraine is losing and begging?
If Moscow is winning, it doesn’t need one. If Kyiv is losing, it should capitulate and stop the bleeding.
That’s the simple truth.

Zelensky said he was willing to freeze the current frontline in order to make peace talks possible.
The night Russia invade the US offered to evacuate him. Instead he choose to stay and fight the dictator. Like Churchill did against Nazi-germany. With support of Roosevelt...
In late March 2022, following a blitzkrieg advance by the Russian army in which it conquered 27 percent of Ukraine in just a few weeks and with Kyiv partially surrounded by over 1,100 Russian tanks from three directions on both sides of the Dnipro River, Russian President Putin made Zelensky an offer he couldn't refuse.
The terms of the Russian deal were that Ukraine had to agree to neutrality outside of NATO and partial demilitarization, disband its ultra-nationalist militias and political parties and grant equal rights to its Russian minority. Ukraine could retain its independence and sovereignty with security guarantees from all five members of the UN Security Council and join the EU. In exchange, Russia would withdraw its troops from 100 percent of Ukraine's prewar-controlled lands leaving Ukraine in control of all but seven percent of its internationally recognized territory.
After initially expressing his willingness to take the deal, Zelensky changed his mind, under pressure from UK PM Boris Johnson and then President Joe Biden, and was a no-show to the signing ceremony in Istanbul on April 9th, 2022. I warned at the time that if Zelensky rejected the Istanbul Agreement, Russia's peace terms would grow much harsher, and Russia would proceed to annex 3-4 Ukrainian oblasts and that is exactly what happened five to six months later.
Now, Zelensky says he would be happy to give up 20-25 percent of Ukraine's territory after he has lost over a million troops killed in action, another million maimed and severely wounded, 36-42 percent of Ukraine's population and 25 percent of its GDP. This leaves Ukrainians wondering what the point was of Zelensky unnecessarily prolonging his unwinnable war with Russia only to lose three times more territory.
The reason was that Zelensky knew doing so was the only way he could retain his dictatorial powers and embezzle enough Western aid money to achieve his goal of becoming a billionaire oligarch so hundreds of billions of dollars would keep pouring in. He knew the moment it ended he would have to hold democratic elections and flee the country to avoid prosecution and imprisonment on corruption charges.
President Trump is absolutely right when he says that the diminutive 'dictator without elections' is to blame for the outbreak of the war and the destruction of his once great country!
Zelensky said, he is willing to freeze the current frontline to make peace talks possible. Nothing about giving up territorium.
After your Midterms Trump is expected to restart his war om #Iran Still blocking 20% of crude oil to reach world market But he, according to him, Zelensky is to blame, or Democrats, or anybody but him 'VS en Israël bereiden nieuwe aanvallen op Iran voor' - nos.nl/l/2636186

What you mean is: "Only in parts of America" The rest of the world has by now realised that he is not an honest trustworthy person. We long for Presidents like Roosevelt, who did not abandon and betray friends and allies who fought a dictator.

Blame Trump for starting his war on #Iran. Now about 20% of crude oil cannot reach world market. And he really does not have any clue on how to get out. By the way, did he not promise: no more wars? As he promised 'lower costs of living' and 'full disclosure of Epstein files'?
Zelensky did not say that He is prepared to freeze the current frontline in order to give peace talks a chance He made this statement many times before The agressor did not move an inch from his initial demand he made at the beginning of the so called 'special military operation
this is why wars are so stupid, Zelensky let so much of Ukraines future die & ended up folding giving away 25% which he could have done from the beginning.I hate politicians & keyboard warriors everywhere, they play with soldiers lives like its nothing

The simple truth is that he is being betrayed by what was considered a friend and ally. If Russia would invade and occupy part of Alaska you would invoke Art. 5 of NATO for help and support...
