It turns out Iran didn't shoot a short-range anti-ship ballistic missiles (ASBMs) at the USS George Washington and an accompanying destroyer escort but rather medium-range hypersonic "carrier killer" Qassem Bassir ASBMs that can reach speeds of Mach 5-8. This is the first time in US history that we know of that a US near peer competitor has fired a hypersonic missile of any kind against a US warship. The US Navy has very little defense against hypersonic missiles and so these Iranian hypersonic ASBMs pose a deadly threat to US aircraft carriers and their escorts. If even one or two hypersonic missiles hit one of our carriers and it caught fire and was forced to withdraw from the region smouldering it would be a massive blow to US prestige. That is something Iran could do at any time whenever it chooses to do so if Trump fooolishly decides to keep escalating his illegal, unconstitutional imperial war of aggression against Iran.
BREAKING: For the first time since the start of the war, Iran's IRGC attempted to hit a US nuclear aircraft carrier in the Gulf of Oman yesterday, using the Qasem Basir medium-range anti-ship ballistic missile which has a range of approximately 1,200km. In response to the strike, US CENTCOM has permanently disabled 3 Iranian oil tankers, including the M/T Downy off the coast of Kharg Island, the M/T Stark 1 near Jask, and the M/T Kylo in the Gulf of Oman. Iran now directly warns Trump that "All US naval ships are now targets. Any strikes on Iranian ships will be met with multiple strikes on vessels linked to countries participating in the anti-Iranian aggression." Iran is again launching anti-ship cruise missiles toward a US aircraft carrier and/or vessels under US Navy escort in the past few minutes, per initial reports.

In late March 2022, following a blitzkrieg advance by the Russian army in which it conquered 27 percent of Ukraine in just a few weeks and with Kyiv partially surrounded by over 1,100 Russian tanks from three directions on both sides of the Dnipro River, Russian President Putin made Zelensky an offer he couldn't refuse. The terms of the Russian deal were that Ukraine had to agree to neutrality outside of NATO and partial demilitarization, disband its ultra-nationalist militias and political parties and grant equal rights to its Russian minority. Ukraine could retain its independence and sovereignty with security guarantees from all five members of the UN Security Council and join the EU. In exchange, Russia would withdraw its troops from 100 percent of Ukraine's prewar-controlled lands leaving Ukraine in control of all but seven percent of its internationally recognized territory. After initially expressing his willingness to take the deal, Zelensky changed his mind, under pressure from UK PM Boris Johnson and then President Joe Biden, and was a no-show to the signing ceremony in Istanbul on April 9th, 2022. I warned at the time that if Zelensky rejected the Istanbul Agreement, Russia's peace terms would grow much harsher, and Russia would proceed to annex 3-4 Ukrainian oblasts and that is exactly what happened five to six months later. Now, Zelensky says he would be happy to give up 20-25 percent of Ukraine's territory after he has lost over a million troops killed in action, another million maimed and severely wounded, 36-42 percent of Ukraine's population and 25 percent of its GDP. This leaves Ukrainians wondering what the point was of Zelensky unnecessarily prolonging his unwinnable war with Russia only to lose three times more territory. The reason was that Zelensky knew doing so was the only way he could retain his dictatorial powers and embezzle enough Western aid money to achieve his goal of becoming a billionaire oligarch so hundreds of billions of dollars would keep pouring in. He knew the moment it ended he would have to hold democratic elections and flee the country to avoid prosecution and imprisonment on corruption charges. President Trump is absolutely right when he says that the diminutive 'dictator without elections' is to blame for the outbreak of the war and the destruction of his once great country!

Obviously, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico would be the best choice to represent the EU in Ukraine war peace talks with Putin, Trump and Zelensky. Either that or former Hungarian President Viktor Orban.
🇪🇺🇷🇺🇺🇸 Europe is hunting for someone to talk to Putin before it gets cut out of the Ukraine peace talks. Witkoff just offered Putin a 3-way summit with Trump and Zelensky, and Europe is worried it won't have its own representative in those talks. Finding one is tricky. The Czech president says Putin doesn't want to talk to von der Leyen or Kallas, and has stopped talking to Macron too. Finland’s president Alexander Stubb is one name getting attention. He's close to Trump and next door to Russia, but back in June he said he isn't the right man for the job. Another option is EU Council chief António Costa, who reportedly told leaders last week he won't call Putin for now. And for now, the U.S. is already at the table, while Europe is still arguing over who gets the chair. Source: POLITICO / Writer: Daniyal

Here is the article where Ukraine war backing neocon Fiona Hill cites multiple Biden administration officials in stating that Russia offered to withdraw from all pre-war Ukrainian controlled territory in exchange for Ukraine signing the Istanbul Agreement in April 2022, which according to Ukrainian negotiators was 90 percent negotiated. I honestly did not believe that Russia offered that until a German general confirmed it was the case the following year. Ukrainian negotiators were very upbeat about the deal as it was based on the terms of their March 29th counteroffer to Russia. Zelensky said at the time he just needed to negotiate troops and arms levels with Putin directly for it to be finalized. But then Putin ordered all Russian troops withdrawn from Ukraine's three northernmost oblasts from March 26th-April 4th, 2022 and Zelensky no longer felt compelled to sign the deal. The Biden administration had been encouraging Ukraine to negotiate a peace deal with Russia prior to the unilateral Russian military withdrawal but did a 180 degree turn thereafter urging Zelensky to reject it even though it accomplished Biden's stated goal of Putin withdrawing all his troops to their prewar positions. foreignaffairs.com/russian-f…

In response to all the Ukrainian bot posts on this thread, here is the article in which I substantiate all of my claims. There is zero evidence that Ukraine succeeded in recapturing any Russian occupied territories in northern Ukraine prior to Putin's unilateral military withdrawal order to withdraw all Russian troops from northern Ukraine from March 26th-April 4th, 2022 at time when Ukrainian forces were not yet capable of mounting any counteroffensives. Biden administration officials stated at the time it was a Russian military ordered redeployment of forces to the Donbass region. dpyne.substack.com/p/how-bid…

Neocons are urging Trump to escalate his war on Iran instead of end it. Bush's 2006 surge of 21,000 more troops into Iraq helped defeat Iran's Sunni enemies in Iraq making Iran's hold over Iraq stronger but did not prevent the GOP from losing both Houses of Congress by wide margins do to the unpopularity of the Iraq War. So what exactly are the neocons thinking we should do to mimic that 'success'? Trump's disastrous war has already transformed Iran from a medium power into the regional hegemon of the Strait of Hormuz and Persian Gulf, holding one-third of deployed US Navy ships at bay at a distance of 1,000 KM from Iran due to Iran's regional antiship missile supremacy over us. But things can definitely get much, much worse for the US and our allies as Iran has six ways it could escalate its war against us in catastrophic ways if Trump foolishly refuses to end it.
The Iran war is going so great that the neocons are telling Trump to just channel Bush even harder…… Amazing stuff.

🚨🇺🇸🇮🇷 Peter Thiel, one of Trump’s most influential billionaire backers, says the Iran war was a MISTAKE “I think we should not have done it. There were a lot of mistakes that were made.” Thiel made the comments last week during a private lecture in Nashville. He also raised the question no one in the GOP wants to answer <2 weeks before the midterms: “Maybe we don’t have the hard power. Maybe we’re going to lose the soft power war.” Thiel co-founded PayPal and Palantir, donated $1.25 million to Trump’s 2016 campaign, was a key WH advisor during Term I, and poured millions into JD Vance’s Senate primary that put him on the path to VP. His data company Palantir is actively assisting Trump’s deportation operations today. He still supports Trump. But his assessment of the Iran war is damning. When a donor this close starts saying “we should not have done it,” you can bet the White House is listening. Source: Daily Mail, Politico / Writer: Michael

Trump said: “We could leave [Iran] now, but we want to make sure it lasts for a long time.” This is the forever war his supporters swore he would never do. The same guy who wrecked Jeb Bush in 2016 over Iraq and Afghanistan is now deliberately dragging this out so Iran “never rebuilds.” If you’re still backing Trump and the current GOP, you’re voting for more open-ended wars. The anti-war Trump is gone.

BREAKING: Iranian officials now believe a joint U.S.-Israeli attack is imminent and instructing the country’s armed forces to directly activate the decentralized “Mosaic Defense” doctrine, with commanders reportedly receiving extensive lists of U.S. economic and political targets to strike if war erupts, per Fars News. A senior Iranian security official warned that U.S. political assets and infrastructure in countries participating in the conflict could be directly targeted. The doctrine disperses military command across 31 provincial commands, designed to allow Iran to continue fighting even if its central leadership is attacked.

BREAKING: Iran has instructed all arms of its armed forces to treat political targets associated with the US and other participants in the war, along with their infrastructure, as legitimate targets in the next round of large-scale war with the US and Israel, which Tehran considers certain, per a senior Iranian security official to Fars. It comes as Trump has shifted toward favoring a preemptive strike on Iran in recent hours.

If it's true that the US has defeated Iran, then why does it have undisputed control over the Strait of Hormuz and the Persian Gulf which they did not have before the war? If we have defeated Iran's military then why did Trump withdraw all US Navy ships 1,000 kilometers from Iran's territory? If the US obliterated Iran's nuclear capabilities in June 2025 and set it back by decades as Trump claimed, then why did he start another war on Iran and why is he continuing to fight it? If the US has won the war, then why does Iran continue to reject all his pleas to end the war unless he accepts all of their maximalist peace terms? The answer is that it is because Iran is winning, the US is losing and everything Trump is saying about the war is a bald-faced lie. The majority of the American people understand this is a war of lies and they are going to vote for the candidates who promise to stop it.
🇺🇸Trump: “We've defeated Iran militarily, financially, and otherwise.” He claims to have “obliterated Iran's nuclear enrichment capacity.” Sounds like the war is over from his POV but Iran is out there acting like they hold all the cards and blocking peace at every turn. Writer: Bri

The U.S. has no control over its own war with Iran. Trump reportedly pleaded with Netanyahu to delay strikes until after the November midterms, offering U.S. forces to carry them out if he agreed. America’s war. Netanyahu’s terms. Our military.

Zelensky hates Trump, openly supported Kamala and Democrat for President. Ukrainian operatives were involved in assassination attempts against Trump! Now Zelensky is openly defiant against Trump and working hard to STOP the US from buying Russian diesel by destroying Russian refineries! He wants gas prices to remain high!! Zelensky is working to hurt Trump and Republicans in hopes that Democrats win the midterms and take Congress. He is no friend of America!

Former Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Ukraine) actually just posted something I agree with. Former British PM Winston Churchill absolutely could have shortened World War Two by four to five years. All he had to do was accept Hitler's surprising peace offers in July 1940 or May 1941 to withdraw German forces from 81 percent of German-occupied Europe (and North Africa) in exchange for an end to the war with the UK and a free hand to lead his long-planned 'international crusade' against the Soviet Union. Doing so likely would have saved the lives of six million Jews who died during the Jewish Holocaust. Similarly, Zelensky could have ended the war in April 2022 by signing the Istanbul Agreement mandating the withdrawal of all Russian troops from Ukraine's pre-war controlled territories in exchange for Ukraine's neutrality outside of NATO and partial demilitarization. History is constantly repeating itself and those who fail to learn from the mistakes of history are condemned to repeat them.
Churchill could have shortened WW2 by years if he had just “done a deal” with Hitler. George Washington could have done a deal to end the American Revolution. Zelenskyy is in good company.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Hitler's July 1940 Reichstag speech was a vague appeal with no specific withdrawal terms or 81% figure. Hess's 1941 flight was unauthorized with only general proposals; detailed claims match only the poster's accounts, not records. ibiblio.org/pha/policy/194… britannica.com/biography/Rudo… encyclopedia.ushmm.org/content/en/art…

Trump's Iran 'excursion' has raised the price of gasoline by 50 precent, increased the price of diesel by 70 percent and driven up mortgage interest rates by 30 percent. Americans are justifiably furious at Trump for increasing the cost of living and making it more unaffordable forever all because Bibi Netanyahu blackmailed him into starting an unwinnable forever war over Trump's misdeeds relating to the Israel Mossad Epstein sex ring. Trump's second term has been a total disaster and it's about to get much, much worse after the Democrats win 53-54 Senate seats and 240 plus House seats and start investigating and impeaching Trump and his minion Pete Hegseth for crimes against our God-given Constitution.
Trump: Interest rates are very soon going to be falling just like oil, gas, everything…
