.@LegacyTigray & #Tigray civil society at the 11th Global Network of #R2P Focal Points mtg was a powerful moment of solidarity & strategy.
Gov’ts & UN heard directly from affected comm—including Tigray—on the urgent need to strengthen multilateral responses to atrocity crimes.
Last week, I represented @LegacyTigray & #Tigray civil society at the #R2P Focal Points Meeting in Brussels. @GCR2P.
We joined gov’ts & UN reps to call for stronger, inclusive tools for atrocity prevention.
Civil society must lead in shaping global responses.✊🏾
Today, on the International Day of Commemoration & Dignity of the Victims of the Crime of Genocide, we honor those lost and impacted by the #TigrayGenocide. Prevention starts with accountability. Let’s ensure ‘Never Again’ is a promise kept. #GenocidePrevention #JusticeForTigray
4th Year Remembrance of the #MaykadraMassacre: Honoring Lives and Demanding Justice!

In the face of denial and attempts to erase history, we remain steadfast in pursuing Justice and Truth for Tigray.

The impact of Genocidal War on education in #Tigray is staggering. Schools have been destroyed, teachers displaced, and students left without classrooms or resources. The future of Tigray’s children hangs in the balance. #TigrayEducationCrisis #RightToEducation #TigrayGenocide
The absence of educators, supplies, classrooms, and psychosocial support will have a lasting effect on Tigray’s students and their access to education. @WHO @UNICEF #SupportTigray #HumanitarianAid
Education in Tigray is more than infrastructure—it’s hope and healing for a generation scarred by war. A long road lies ahead, but with focused support and stability, Tigray’s children can reclaim their right to learn. #TigrayEducation #BuildBackBetter #TigrayGenocide

Buildings that once served as safe havens for health in #Tigray are now shells. 78% of health posts, 72% of health centers and 80% of hospitals have been destroyed. The scars left on the landscape mirror those inflicted on the people.

@WHO @UNICEF
Accessibility is crippled. The siege blocks medicine, food, and aid. Antenatal care has dropped from 94% to 16%, and child malnutrition has skyrocketed to 78%. The impact on health is staggering, and the world cannot remain silent.
#RightToHealth #TigrayCrisis @UNHumanRights
Functionality is near zero. Most health facilities are barely functional & health workers haven’t received salaries for 17 months of service during the siege. The healthcare system has collapsed, & Tigrayans are left without the basic human right to medical care. #TigrayGenocide
Voices of moderation are silenced. Propaganda spreads. Any act of dissent is met with hostility. Society reaches a perilous brink.

The final stage. Evidence is destroyed, narratives rewritten, blame shifted. Denial ensures genocide can be repeated. We must remember and demand accountability.

We’ve walked through the 10 stages of genocide, bearing witness to the evidence of these tragedies. We honor the resilience of survivors & the memories of lives lost. Together, we remember.
Together, we say: #NeverAgain.
#TigrayGenocide #4YearsRemembered #JusticeForTigray
As we honor the 4th year of Tigray Genocide, let’s reflect on 10 stages of genocide to remember, educate & advocate for justice.
Genocide begins with 'us vs. them.' It’s a powerful tool used to divide society, instilling the seeds of mistrust.

Language shapes perception. ‘Vermin,’ ‘disease,’ ‘enemy’—words chosen to strip groups of humanity, making violence permissible.
#TigrayGenocide #StopHate @HolocaustMuseum @GlobalJusticeC
Genocide isn’t spontaneous. It’s organized, from militias to logistics. Who arms, who trains, who plans—these are questions that need answers.
