Can't believe they actually went out to the salt flats to film this. The video is gorgeous.
Been super fun working with the team up close, and proud @lemma_ is helping monitor the Letterpress-1 coding agents.
Insane product + founder
Today, the @lettercompany is releasing the beta of Letterpress-1, the world’s first coding agent, harness, and IDE purpose-built for growth engineering.
tl;dr: check out the 🧵 to see the product in action.
Growth is re-emerging as an engineering problem, but today’s coding tools weren’t designed for it. Your website isn’t isolated like your app: it reacts to the outside world (e.g. agent behavior, Google rankings, observed human interactions, and competitor activity).
Leading coding agents were built to scale complex codebases, not to autonomously build for outside signals. Letterpress-1 is.
Letterpress-1 is designed to tackle growth problems of every size. It’s also proactive: it suggests the nth next thing to build for growth. It'll issue pull requests for de-anonymization, experimental landing pages, warmed emails, blog automations, agent telemetry, etc.
The Letterpress IDE is also built into your site. Press ⌘+L, authenticate, and edit text directly on your website. Letterpress-1 automatically opens a pull request with the change.
Letterpress-1 ships with readily available infrastructure to stage futuristic growth strategies that win over agents. These include:
=> Proofs: autonomous evidence chains that verify customer success data for agent visitors
=> Simulations: staged mirror applications where agents can safely try solutions before buying
=> Benches: self-hosted, reproducible benchmarks with open-source, independent governance
=> Phantoms: autonomous websites to sandbox growth strategies
Build, automate, and refine your growth process with the Letterpress family of tools. We're proud to count some of the world's most forward-thinking startups as our customers.
Sign up today at letter.dev.
I’ll share a few examples of Letterpress-1 in action in the thread below.
Monitors is live in Lemma
You already know the biggest areas of concerns for your agent.
Describe them in plain English, and Lemma tracks every matching trace so you can see how behavior changes over time.
“agent uses tool X wrong”
“users expressing frustration”
“users asking the agent to do something it can’t”
But a chart going up doesn’t tell you what’s behind those patterns.
So every monitor breaks down into the issues behind it. You’ll see why something is spiking, not just that it is.

Replying to @lemma_
@lemma_ recently sponsored a hackathon alongside @figma, @sideshift_app, and @AfterQuery with @uscsep.
The winners of our track were 2 high school seniors... sneaking into college hackathons beating out all the older students.
Love seeing people younger than me go for it, that's probably something I would do when I was in high school.
And I'll always have a special affinity for supporting young builders, because I know firsthand how much that early encouragement can do for someone.
Getting to come back to USC as founders and sponsor the same organization that helped start our journey was a pretty surreal full-circle moment. Shoutout Rodin and Adhit for putting this together.
Congratulations to Adrian & Michael for winning with HiveMind. I know they’re onto big things.
Always a good time with Lemma 🥂
We called it the Met Gala of a16z SF Tech Week.
And people actually showed up dressed for it.
400+ founders, investors, and the people building the future of the agent economy came together in suits and gowns.
Unindexed Ep.4 takes you inside the Agent Economy Gala, from the first arrivals to the last people refusing to leave.
Thank you to everyone who came, and to our co-hosts @uselemmaai, @SpaceX, @daytonaio, @Tiny_Fish, @thelinqapp, @obvious, @ValyuOfficial, @MongoDB, and @arceuslegal for making it happen :)
high energy x elegance: @lemma_ finishes the sf tech week with a style
Startups are built on relationships. That’s why IRL events are a core part of our growth strategy at @lemma_ .
We hosted our biggest one yet during @SFTechWeek :
The Agent Economy Gala.
400+ founders, operators, and investors, brought together with our friends at @thelinqapp, @llama_index, @Tiny_Fish, and @obvious.
Each of us builds a different part of the agent stack. Bringing our communities together was a chance to better understand how those pieces connect, and the people behind them.
Everyone you work with. Everyone you might work with. Together for an evening, with time to get to know each other.
Thank you to our cohosts and to our sponsors @SpaceX, @MongoDB, @daytonaio, @arceuslegal, and @ValyuOfficial for making it possible.
And to @Sarah___Fan and @kamillazk for bringing it to life.
An honor to share the stage with @ivanburazin, @sudheenair, @jerryjliu0, Eric Crane, and many more
Excited to see what we build together from here.

We hosted an awesome black tie gala last Friday to close out SF tech week
huge shoutout to everyone involved with organizing! @ValyuOfficial @MongoDB @daytonaio @arceuslegal @obvious @thelinqapp @lemma_ @Tiny_Fish + ofc @imaanxsultan from our side
Three events, one award, a very respectable 4th place in hot sauce.
Our SF Tech Week:
→ AI Demo Night w/ @ClickHouse + @artie_labs: @imaanxsultan won best demo
→ @matissemlk took 4th in the Blazel hot sauce competition
→ Co-hosted the biggest night of SF Tech Week with @SpaceX, @Lemma_, @Daytonaio, @Tiny_Fish, and more! Agent Economy Gala: 500+ founders + investors in suits and gowns
Thanks to everyone who joined us for a very busy, but fun SF Tech Week :)

thanks @TBPN for covering our launch!
thought I'd never live to hear Lemma come out of @jordihays @johncoogan

congrats to the lemma team! we switched over from raindrop a while back at folk and the difference is that lemma actually understands what your agent is supposed to do, so it surfaces issues on its own instead of us setting up signals and tracing everything ourselves. huge for consumer agents where the surface area is massive.

I've known this team since they first started, they are incredibly relentless, and the talent is unmatched.
Behind every great company is always a great entrepreneur I would bet on @zjearbear & @colegawin_ any day - their grit & hustle is next-level.

i would bet money on the @lemma_ team
Announcing your fundraise from the company account is a mistake now.
Founders must go direct like @zjearbear did here.
Ppl are unfollowing corporate accounts faster than ever. too much copied slop between rival brands, and it all reads as fake.

Seeing some incredible launch videos these days, note to founders, the bar has definitely been raised, invest the time and money to up your game, you don’t need a huge following to make noise, but you have to get creative to stand out!

i watched this side by side with the obsession clip and the attention to detail is uncanny. the way a company produces their launch video also says a lot about the team itself. huge congrats to @zjearbear @Sarah___Fan !!
