Reading an iPad at full brightness for 4h before bed suppressed melatonin by 55% (sleep and detoxification hormone), pushed the body clock 90 minutes later and left people sleepier the next morning compared with reading a paper book. Bring back candle light reading xo

One of the very best aspects of SF culture is that nobody under the age of ~27 cares about what college you went to. You are judged on the value of what you have produced for the world and not a decision that an admissions committee made for you when you were 17

'gorgeous women are flocking to SF'
SF’s dating pool was once, as an Egyptian founder put it to us, “drier than the desert in my homeland.” Now, gorgeous women are flocking to the city. Why? As AI gets cheaper to build, companies flush with venture cash are hiring beautiful women to charm investors and clients. Enjoy it while it lasts, gentlemen. As @nicolewizman1 writes: paying hotties 6 figures to get drunk with your business prospects feels like a pretty good sign we’re in a bubble. 👇

F your AI b2b SaaS. We just launched Palantir for booking meetings. The last 14 days, companies like @MonacoGTM , @Nowadaysai, @Rippling , @salesforce , @marketercom, @posthog , and @retellai spent $100k+ with us on literal cakes. From today, Daymaker finds your prospects, reads their entire digital footprint, buys the one gift that makes their day, and gets you the meeting. Comment your name and I'll reply with everything Daymaker finds on you and the gift it would send you. If you dare. 🎁

The problem with status seeking is that you simply become a lagging indicator of someone else's success. When something new comes out and is at first adopted by counter culture before entering the mainstream, your willingness to join the late majority will force you and your reputation to exist within someone else's frame. The greats of history created their own status by pursuing intrinsically noble goals that society only later learned to value. Make your own status.

OpenAI has an extremely unique opportunity to replace Google as the account people use to sign into everything. The same way in which Google used to provide ease-of-use and security, is the same way OpenAI can offer a "universal compute subscription" for you use their compute on any platform, without needing to create/pay for a separate account. This is will seem obvious in retrospect. Anthropic is missing out.

Joe Rogan:“靠设计、研发优秀产品创造巨额财富,与靠投资股票、调配资金赚钱,完全是两回事。”

planning is overrated just take the shortest term action that is in the general direction of your goal reality is a super high dimensional space, so this basically always works
