Finally, members of Congress seem to grasp that the President of the USA needs to be treated like a Russian agent, who is trying to use the power of the US government to protect Vladimir Putin as part of a criminal enterprise. That’s where we are.
SCOOP! Bipartisan House lawmakers target arms-transfer bottlenecks for Ukraine. Reps. Keating, Wilson, Meeks, Bacon, McBride and Fitzpatrick are teaming up on legislation to amend U.S. arms-export law to address third-party transfers of certain defense articles to Ukraine.

Russia is preparing for war in Europe, and they continue to be issued visas. Spanish police have arrested a former Russian soldier after discovering an illegal weapons operation in Catalonia, near the French border. Investigators uncovered a concealed workshop inside a rented warehouse in Figueres, approximately 25 kilometers from France. The facility contained 644 firearms, thousands of rounds of ammunition, silencers and weapons components. The seized arsenal is estimated to be worth €5 million.

The only reason for russia started the war again in 2022 is that it managed to normalize and made everyone forget what happened in 2014. Everyone accepted russia back into the world and as soon as it happened putin carried on with his plan to finish off Ukraine. Now it's happening again. All those who advocate to bringing back russia into the world stage will enable its ugly tentacles back into their country political lives advocating to build new dependencies on russian energy products and then they will strike again. Never fucking learning anything

“Her legs were torn off, she was ripped to pieces.” A Russian drone killed 84-year-old woman Grandma Lora in Kherson as she was walking her goats, The New York Post reports. In a September interview, Lora said: “Everyone is afraid, but everyone still has hope.” Larisa Myronivna Vakulyuk, 84, known as Grandma Lora, died instantly when a Russian FPV drone struck her and her two goats in the Antonivskyi district of Kherson. Journalist Zarina Zabrisky, who had interviewed Vakulyuk a month earlier, described the aftermath: “Her legs were torn off, she was ripped to pieces. In my three and a half years covering this war, I have seen many deaths, but this was one of the hardest to witness.” Volunteer Andrii Petukhov found her remains alongside the dead goats, confirming that she died instantly and that the strike occurred during her morning walk. In her September interview, Vakulyuk said: “Everyone is afraid, but everyone still has hope,” capturing both fear and resilience amid the shelling of Kherson. The attack was one of several that day, which also injured four civilians and damaged homes, schools, and residential buildings across the city. Ukrainian and human rights groups call Kherson a “human safari zone” — an area where Russian drones and artillery deliberately hunt civilians. In July, outrage followed reports that a one-year-old boy was killed by a Russian drone while playing outside, showing how Moscow’s “human safari” now claims victims from infants to the elderly. Nearly 150 civilians were killed during the summer bombardments of Kherson in 2024, and hundreds more were injured. Russia continues to intensify daily drone strikes on populated areas. I have in the past asserted that the fate of Israeli democracy depends on the Palestinian citizens of Israel. That framing is totally incorrect. The fate of Israeli democracy - and by extension, the fate of Israel - depends on the ability of Israeli society to engage the Palestinian citizens of Israel as equals. The onus is on us, and not on them. The future demands that politically, this is no longer "us" and "them", but rather an inclusive "we the people".
It's the ironies of ironies that Israel's Palestinian citizens -- discriminated against in a preferential democracy -- may well be the power that pushes Israel to a more democratic future

CONCLUSION 🧵(1/2): Putin would have the world, and especially the United States, believe that he is somehow holding back from crushing Ukraine, but that he could do so at any moment of his choosing. The opposite is the case. If Putin had had a way of ending the war quickly, he surely would have used it. The effort to field an army large enough to make virtually no gains is costing Putin a fortune, driving up inflation in Russia, and generating increasing social discontent. Fielding a larger army would cost more with no guarantee of materially changing the situation on the front. That is why Putin is holding back at least for now. ⬇️ Putin has likely recognized the folly of trying to drown Ukraine in Russian blood and has instead opted to try to hammer Ukraine into submission with a strategic bombing campaign. The Russians have secured a temporary advantage in the skies over Ukraine through their jet-powered drones and the shortage of Patriot missiles that can intercept their ballistic missiles. But Ukraine is fielding solutions to defend against the jet-powered drones, and it is hardening and decentralizing its infrastructure to survive the ballistic missile strikes (as well as developing its own ballistic missile interceptors, although that effort will take time). The Russian strikes are currently devastating Ukrainian energy and other infrastructure and imposing a brutal cost on Ukrainian civilians—as Putin intends. But there is no reason to think that this strategic bombing campaign will be any more successful than every other strategic bombing campaign in history—all of which have failed to compel a country holding its own on the battlefield to surrender.
It is unclear whether Putin is lying about Russian gains or being lied to by his own military—or both. Russian military correspondents constantly complain of what they call “beautiful reports” that Russian military units send to higher headquarters, claiming gains they have not made. Ukrainian forces say that they have been able to use the Russian military’s own internal culture of lying to their advantage, luring Russian troops into traps because the Russians think that they are moving through territory they control. Leaked Russian military maps show phantom gains, often matching Putin’s claims. The pervasive lying within the Russian military is a problem for Russian soldiers, but likely an advantage for Putin, as it supports his own efforts to present Russian forces as advancing and winning when, in fact, they are doing neither.

Elon Musk said nobody has any plan for how to end the war in Ukraine. Not true, I have a plan. The plan is building as many ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and strike drones as humanely possible and launching so many of them into Russia that Russia begins to crumble.

#Syria hardened its stance on the Jordanian attack carried out yesterday in the South. While the Syrian Foreign Ministry initially expressed "reservations" about the Jordanian airstrikes in a statement last night, this morning, as the civilian death toll was confirmed, Damascus officially condemned the attack, calling it an unacceptable violation of its airspace & the principles of good neighborly relations. Jordan maintained its official line, saying 20+ #ISIS terrorists were killed & a "major ammunition depot" destroyed, while also expressing "regret" over the civilian casualties. Amman also stated it ran out of patience with the presence of terrorists near its border. Such wording is surprising given the high level of relations between Damascus & Amman, incl. through a joint security committee. The death toll stands at 7: one woman, 3 children, a young & and 2 elderly men - most were killed in the remote tribal area of Lajat (red dot on the map). Joint investigations are ongoing to identify the failures that occurred last night & a joint committee will be formed to fight ISIS. But in an unusual remark, Syrian foreign minister said the incident was the result of "suspicious parties" seeking to undermine relations between the 2 countries - hence the question: how did Jordan obtain the coordinates it bombed? Today, Nasib border crossing - the only crossing between Syria & Jordan - is closed after protests erupted last night on the Syrian side. This hurts both countries, but Damascus even more, as vital goods & reconstruction materials transit through the crossing every day. Both sides are expected to work to avoid a diplomatic crisis, but this situation could have been easily avoided with proper communication.

Tonight, in the wake of #Jordan's deadly strikes, #Syria has fully closed its primary crossing point at Nassib "until further notice." From what I gather, officials in #Damascus tonight are *furious.* A totally unnecessary incident, dealing a huge blow to bilateral ties.
Tonight, #Jordan killed 8+ civilians in airstrikes in S. #Syria: - 5 kids (aged 4, 5, 7, 12 & 16) - 1 woman - 2 elderly men (aged 80, 68) #Jordan said it coordinated w. #Syria. #Syria says no, it didn't. Now 8 innocent people lie dead, torn apart by missiles.

The most laughably stupid Israeli hasbara line you’ll hear today: “Arabs can vote in Israel, so it can’t be apartheid.” Now tell me: how can more than 700,000 Israeli settlers in the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem, vote in Israeli elections, while Palestinians living in the same territory cannot?

1/ Saturday's Ukrainian attack on Omsk in Siberia, at a distance of over 2,500 km, is causing fresh angst among Russian warbloggers over the poor performance of Russia's air defences. "[We're being hit] further and deeper," one complains. ⬇️ xitter.cf/JayinKyiv/status/21140…
Ukrainian drones have reached deep into Siberia in a spectacular another long-range operation, targeting Russia’s massive Omsky Kauchuk chemical plant in Omsk, approximately 2,500 kilometers from Ukraine. Established in 1962, the Soviet-era industrial giant is one of Russia’s most important petrochemical producers, with several significant national distinctions: - Russia’s largest single-unit MTBE production capacity, producing a critical additive used in high-octane gasoline. - Russia’s largest isopropyl alcohol production facility, with an annual capacity of 60,000 tonnes. - Russia’s second-largest MTBE producer, accounting for approximately 16% of national production in 2026. - One of Russia’s leading phenol producers, accounting for approximately 18% of national production in 2021. - A top synthetic rubber manufacturer, supplying materials used in tires, industrial equipment, hoses, and other civilian and military applications.

The Israeli army prevented Palestinians from harvesting olives on their land in the village of Turmus Ayya in the West Bank. Meanwhile, the soldiers allow Israeli settlers to steal the olives.

Zelensky keeps going at Hegseth: “The artificial and prolonged delays in the delivery of interceptor packages for Patriot and NASAMS systems, which unfortunately have occurred recently, are directly helping Russia achieve the objectives of its terrorist campaign.”
The number of people injured in the Russian strike on a university campus and the surrounding area yesterday evening has risen to 12. Five of them are students and university staff. While emergency services were helping people and dealing with the aftermath of the first strike, the Russians used ballistic missiles again. In total, 16 ballistic missiles were launched overnight. More than 280 drones as well. Tragically, there have been casualties and hits in Kyiv, including on the South Bridge. A serious escalation in Russia’s operation against our logistics. There were also strikes on the Kyiv, Vinnytsia, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Kharkiv, Odesa, Chernihiv, Sumy, Donetsk, Kherson, and Chernivtsi regions. Almost everywhere, Russia’s targets were the energy sector, logistics, and ordinary urban infrastructure. The artificial and prolonged delays in the delivery of interceptor packages for Patriot and NASAMS systems, which unfortunately have occurred recently, are directly helping Russia achieve the objectives of its terrorist campaign. Every such delay means another Russian strike on one facility or another. Unfortunately, strikes are taking place every day. Russia is constantly taking new steps toward escalation. Pressure on Russia and real support for Ukraine are needed to change the situation. I thank everyone who truly supports our efforts to protect lives and understands the importance of support packages arriving on time. We must bring peace closer and save lives. Trump’s son secretly went on vacation with a Putin’s oligarch: The two went hunting together in Mongolia this August. Donald Trump Jr. arrived in Mongolia accompanied by the U.S. Secret Service and Republican donor Kevin Small. Later, Umar Kremlev flew in from Kazakhstan to join him, accompanied by businessman Artur Martirosov. As a reminder, Kremlev reportedly previously paid for Trump Jr.’s wedding in the Bahamas in secret. And we wonder why Trump is pro-russian?! Source: Financial Times
