🚨 2025 Season Preview 🚨 Houston Lutheran South TAPPS D2, District 4 Team: @lsaathl Coach: @corbymeekins @Brae_ontop @AjaBradford2026 @Cade_A_Griffin @Holtteichman @HankHughes12 @zachjohnsonclhs @luke_mazur_24 @Joshap07 @elijah_brown707 @ikenna_bradford @RJQB16 @thetitusbrooks It feels like Braeden Robinson has been suiting up for a decade, and that’s a testament to just how impactful he’s been for the Pioneers. A consistent, high-level performer, Robinson returns once again as the heart of the team, leading the charge on both sides of the ball. But he won’t be doing it alone. Dynamic athlete Aja Bradford is back and brings versatility to the lineup. A Division I prospect, Bradford will contribute as a running back and in the secondary, where he joins Robinson to form one of the area's most dangerous defensive backfields. The backfield will also feature Cade Griffin, a tough, physical runner who brings a thunderous presence to the ground game. At quarterback, Holt Teichman and Reid Jeffrey are set to battle it out in camp for the starting role. Whoever earns the job will have a talented group of weapons to work with, including returning wideout Josh Pippillion and dynamic transfer Luke Mazur. The offensive line will be tasked with setting the tone up front, led by returners Robert Rutledge and Troy Gonzalez, along with transfer Zach Johnson, who adds size and depth to the unit. Defensively, the front seven is gritty and physical. Defensive end Hank Hughes returns as a strong prospect off the edge, while Griffin, Titus Brooks, Parker Pfeiffer, and Laydn Heinemann fill out a tough, hard-nosed group in the box. The secondary will be one of the team’s strengths, with Robinson and Aja Bradford joined by Ike Bradford, Aja’s brother and a key transfer addition, along with Elijah Brown to form a deep and athletic unit. Rounding things out is one of the top kickers in the area, Rhett Lavergne, who gives the Pioneers an added edge on special teams. As I write this, I’m realizing just how deep and talented this team is across the board. I picked them to finish third in the district, but I might end up regretting that.
