Hey @Meta 👋We are currently hosting a get-out-the-vote rally in Osceola County, home to a large Puerto Rican community, and our #LatinosConAngie @instagram page was suddenly taken down while we were actively posting content from the event.
This page is a critical communication tool for reaching Latino voters and mobilizing our community. With just seven days until Election Day, every minute matters.
We are calling on Meta to immediately restore the page and provide an explanation for its removal. Voters deserve access to critical election information, especially in these final days. @andymstone

🚨 BREAKING NEWS: Gmail Users Need to Read This!
If you have a Gmail account, you need to read this.
Google’s AI is now rifling through your inbox emails and attachments, bank statements, tax docs, medical letters, the whole stack. It was enabled by default, and that quiet rollout is now facing a class-action lawsuit.
Here are 5 steps to turn it off because the kill switch is buried in two different spots:
Lina Khan on Mamdani Administration: What we see is an approach to an affordability agenda that has a few key governing principles.
One is a willingness to confront powerful interests when it is those powerful interests that are making life unaffordable. And so we’ve seen through the campaign, but also now in their governing approach, a willingness to call out actors, be it real estate interests, be it gig companies, be it Amazon, when these are companies that are either driving up prices or giving workers the short end of the stick.
Secondly, a real focus on trying to understand what are the root drivers of the affordability crisis and how do you address it head-on. So this is not as much about one-time checks. This is not about one-time tax breaks. It’s really about how do we address some of the upstream drivers.
Sometimes that will be the direct public provisioning of goods.
Sometimes that will be addressing market power.
Sometimes it will be about actually creating more opportunities for people to organize, be it tenants or workers.
Sometimes it’ll be making sure that as you are handing out investments or subsidies, you are actually attaching real conditions to make sure the public is really benefiting, as we saw with the recent quantum deal.

🗳️ The Democratic Socialists of America is launching a national campaign for an arms embargo on Israel, built on organizing workers, unions and communities to choke off weapons shipments at strategic points rather than waiting for Washington.
The campaign's first targets include United Airlines, which DSA says moved nearly 3,000 military shipments to Tel Aviv through US hubs between June 2025 and March 2026, and Elbit Systems of America, the US arm of Israel's largest weapons maker, now rebranded as Twenty-Six Defense.
The national launch builds on New York City DSA's "Break the Chain" campaign, which has spent months organizing workers at JFK Airport to refuse to handle military cargo bound for Israel.
DSA is set to hold a webinar Thursday to the effort.
As the genocide in Palestine continues and violence intensifies across the West Bank, the call for an arms embargo has never been more critical.
DSA is proposing a total embargo that extends beyond just arms shipments. Join us on 10/29 for our launch - go.dsausa.org/arms-embargo-l…

🚨Breaking: Police have confiscated Presidential loser Flávio Bolsonaro’s passports so he can not flee to the US and evade justice like his brother did.
His baseless demand to annul the election has also been thrown out by the Electoral Court.🚨

Perhaps because he has been implicated in several crimes, and his brother announced from Mar a Lago that Flavio planned to flee the country to Florida if he didn’t win?

Happy Birthday to the handsome man profiling in the dark shirt—that’s our father Andrew J. Rodrigues, J.D., co-founder of the Gullah Museum. He would have been 90 years old today. He was a brilliant speaker, researcher, amateur historian, and Gullah Geechee culture warrior. This is one of my favorite photos of him sitting with my mother and their friends on Cape Cod in the early 1960s. Daddy was a Roxbury boy from Boston—if you know you know—but he came down to South Carolina on a track scholarship in the 1950s, fell in love with Vermelle “Bunny” Smith, and the rest is history. They moved to Boston after graduation, and had the first of four girls. Bunny was a high school home economics teacher, while he worked as a chemist for the FDA, but that wasn’t where his heart was. He went to night school at Suffolk University Law School in Boston. This photo is a moment in time in a life well lived—we miss him, his dry New England wit, and the way he looked over his glasses at us when he was about to use it.

Riots, strikes, social movement mobilizations, occupations, confrontations with police and military—all are tried and true methods for winning on the left, and none are illegitimate—and the latest global sequences prove it.
The only thing that causes distinctions among these methods is fear of the right. Don’t be afraid.

Finally,
After waiting, struggling, and enduring extreme exhaustion, I managed to get some bread today.
Today, I saw in the eyes of my daughters, Kiraz and Tamam, a happiness I hadn’t seen in them for days.
Alhamdulillah.❤️🙏
