Stillwater, Oklahoma tornado today. Luckily it didn't touch down until the storm had moved to the north over rural areas. @sara_loss got this pic of the tornado after we emerged from shelter and as it moved safely away from town

We had a "Little Sit" get together for our lab group this morning (like a mini version of a "Big Sit, which is an all day bird count at one location).
It was cold but fun and fueled by donuts and @SMBC bird-friendly coffee!

Very exciting to see @okstate take a lead in conserving bird populations by installing @FeatherFriendly markers on 2 of the buildings we identified as causing many bird-window collisions, including Gallagher-Iba Arena & Noble Research Center!
