Yesterday showed the internet at its absolute worst. While nine families were learning their loved ones died in the West Palm Beach Learjet crash, shameless grifters were already turning the crater into a cesspool of ignorant conspiracy theories. Millions of views on pure fiction—from Lenny Kravitz being on board to claims it wasn't even a plane. Let's go through the worst of it: Shot down by the Mar-a-Lago air defenses? Short-range systems like the Stinger top out around 10,000 feet. Flight tracking had this jet at about 35,000 feet before the dive. A missile, not a plane? It was Learjet 60 N722BD, Austin to North Eleuthera. The crew was on the radio with Miami Center reporting ice and turbulence, then a mayday and an overspeed at 20,000 feet per minute. See @alexboge overlay of the final crash frame False flag? A real tail number, a real route, a real cockpit voice, real flight tracking, real video of the crash. An ADS-B reconstruction of the final 78 seconds. NTSB investigators will report later today. No debris? A near vertical impact at that speed shatters an airframe into unrecognizable pieces. A Learjet captain told CBS12 exactly that. Photos and video of he crash site show it littered with small pieces of twisted metal. ATC audio came out too early? LiveATC(.)net records air traffic radio publicly in near real time. Nobody released it. It was available everywhere. It did not come from a blackbox. DEI pilot? Nothing released points to the pilot. Ice, turbulence and an overspeed are what the tapes show. We know the pilot was a woman. That's it. Some people are naming her. I prefer to wait on the official announcement. Nine people died. The NTSB briefs today in West Palm Beach. Can we wait for the facts before we use their deaths to sell a theory?
I lived in Florida for years, and the thought of a jet coming down on a neighborhood street on a Sunday afternoon is chilling. AP says it landed just short of homes. The NTSB has a go-team on the way and a media briefing in West Palm Beach on Monday. Until then, cockpit audio clips and theories are guesses, and the families of these nine deserve better than guesses. Prayers for all of them. How long before we get a real answer on what brought this jet down?

The Learjet 60 that crashed in Palm Beach County today went from 35,000 ft to the ground in 76 seconds. I rebuilt the last 3 minutes in 4D from ADS-B, ATC audio, a NEXRAD analysis and dashcam video, then ran the engineering. Here's what the data says, and what it doesn't. 🧵

Yes, completely normal. ATC radio frequencies are public VHF broadcasts that anyone with a scanner can monitor. Sites like LiveATC.net continuously record them via volunteers, so clips from the final minutes surface and spread online within hours of most US crashes. This is radio traffic between the crew and controllers, not protected cockpit voice recorder audio (which federal law keeps private; only transcripts are later released by NTSB). Same pattern has held for years on major incidents.

Conspiratards be like “hOw CoMe ThEReS No PLaNe”
Here come the conspiratards. There’s no conspiracy, dude. It’s on video here’s the plane N722BD right before impact. You can get the flight tracking data and hear the pilot’s recording the moment she realized her life was over. How are people this ignorant on purpose?

Because the apparent lack of debris from the Learjet crash in Palm Beach County today is raising questions, I went to look for a similar example. On Jan 31, 2025, a Learjet 55 crashed in Philadelphia, leaving this crater. The cockpit voice recorder was recovered 8 ft down, and the debris field spanned blocks.

YES. THERE WAS A PLANE. My GOD freaking STOP! We have footage from multiple angles showing the aircraft crashing. We have audio reportedly capturing the victims’ final moments. We can hear the panic in the pilot’s voice. I cannot even begin to imagine the absolute TERROR those people experienced in their final moments. The aircraft struck the ground with such tremendous force that it was shattered into tiny pieces. Flight data reportedly shows that the Learjet entered an extremely steep descent, exceeding 30,000 feet per minute at one point. When a multi-ton aircraft strikes the ground at that speed and angle, it doesn’t behave like an airplane making an emergency landing. The tremendous kinetic energy causes the aircraft to violently compress, fragment, and potentially drive substantial portions of the wreckage into the ground. That’s why these crashes can leave massive impact craters instead of a recognizable airplane scattered across a runway. The impact can also rupture fuel tanks, igniting a fireball that further destroys the wreckage. Aircraft components can be crushed into thousands of fragments, burned, buried, or scattered across the impact area. The absence of a recognizable airplane does NOT mean there wasn’t an airplane. It means the impact was CATASTROPHIC. I cannot imagine the terror of realizing the aircraft you’re sitting in is rapidly falling toward the earth, knowing there may be absolutely nothing you can do to stop it. And I cannot imagine being one of their loved ones, grieving an unimaginable loss, only to open social media and see people claiming the airplane never existed because they can’t recognize the wreckage. There are legitimate questions about the flight, the severe weather it encountered, and what caused the aircraft to lose control. But inventing conspiracy theories because an airplane didn’t remain conveniently intact after a violent impact is reckless. STOP taking away from the victims and their grieving families with this nonsense.

It's a real Learjet 60 (N722BD), not a rocket. The streaky look comes from the near-vertical high-speed dive in rain. All 9 aboard killed; names not released. Crash site near Military Trail in Greenacres has a large crater, fire damage, and scattered wreckage. First responders, NTSB, and FAA are there. No confirmed ground deaths.

I DON'T KNOW WHO NEEDS TO HEAR THIS... BUT PLANES DON'T DO THAT!
FOOTAGE: A plane crashed in Greenacres, Florida, in Palm Beach County. Video from the scene shows fires burning, a crater in the roadway, and debris spread across a wet Street. The aircraft type and number of casualties are not yet known.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Planes can leave such a scar on terrain after a crash. It is dependent on speed and angle relative to terrain. The 1999 South Dakota Learjet 35 crash being one example aviation-safety.net/asndb/323641 ValuJet Flight 592 is another example miamiherald.com/news/local/com…

I asked Grok @bot to explain what happened to the Learjet 60 that crashed in Palm Beach County. It synced the real flight data to the MAYDAY call on the ATC audio, showing a descent of about 20,000 feet per minute. Nine people were lost. Praying for their families. The NTSB hasn't named a cause yet. What do you think happened?

Thousands of people watched the video of the Florida jet crash and asked the same thing: where’s the plane? Here’s why you can’t see it: • It fell almost straight down. Unofficial flight tracking shows the Learjet dropped from over 35,000 feet nearly vertical, possibly at several hundred miles per hour. • It shattered on impact. Planes are mostly lightweight aluminum, and hitting the ground nose-first at that speed breaks a jet into thousands of small pieces, many driven deep into the ground. That’s why there’s a crater in the road. • The fuel fire did the rest. Jet fuel ignited instantly, burning and melting much of what was left. • We’ve seen this before. Flight 93 in Shanksville on 9/11 left the same scene: a smoking crater with almost no recognizable wreckage. What most people don’t know: private and charter jets don’t follow the same safety rules as commercial airlines. Airlines operate under the strictest FAA standards for pilot training, rest, and maintenance. Charter flights follow a lighter set of rules, and privately flown jets have even fewer requirements. The NTSB will now collect every fragment to find out what happened in those final seconds. Praying for all 9 families. Should private jets face the same safety rules as commercial airlines?
“We’re out of time.” Those may be some of the last words heard from the cockpit of the private jet that plunged into a Florida neighborhood Sunday. Audio circulating online appears to capture the pilots of the Learjet 60 talking with air traffic control before the crash in Greenacres, Palm Beach County. The FAA says nine people were on board, flying from Austin, Texas, to the Bahamas. Instead of a vacation, the jet dropped from cruising altitude almost straight down and exploded into a mobile home park just before 1 p.m. Reports say none of the nine survived. Nine families woke up expecting a trip to paradise, and tonight they’re getting the worst call of their lives. The NTSB is now trying to figure out what went so wrong, so fast. What do you think could cause a jet to fall out of the sky that quickly?

If your VERY FIRST reaction to watching a horrific Learjet crash is “That looks fake,” “It was a missile,” or “Where’s the debris?” then congratulations. You’ve just identified yourself as the perfect mark for every conspiracy grifter on the internet. It’s the same breathtaking stupidity that gave us the 9/11 Pentagon “missile” and “missing debris” conspiracy theories. A horrific tragedy unfolds before your eyes, and before you know a single fact, your first instinct is to invent a conspiracy. STFU & GTFO! You’re not “just asking questions.” You’re broadcasting your ignorance, your gullibility, and your complete inability to distinguish evidence from bullshit. And the people exploiting these tragedies know EXACTLY who you are. They know how to manipulate you, outrage you, and keep you coming back for another helping of manufactured mystery. They turn human suffering into conspiracy content, and you eagerly spread it for them. You think you’re exposing a cover-up. You’re actually exposing how easily you can be played. The grifters have a product. You’re the customer.
