Florida parents arrested after their 4 year old was found alone in a pond.
Deltona, FL. Halloween morning.
A caller reported a toddler wandering alone near a retention pond.
Deputies found the 4 year old boy in the water.
Bodycam shows him splashing in a marshy area.
A deputy waded in and pulled him out.
He was not hurt.
He pointed deputies to his own house.
Inside: "copious amounts of animal waste."
A roach infestation.
Mold.
Old feces and urine.
Dead bugs and bug droppings.
A caged, neglected dog. Animal control took it.
The smell was so bad, a 13-year sergeant feared someone was dead inside.

Fermin Jesus Medrano-Perez, 25, and Jeneixa Marie Rodriguez-Crespo, 24, were arrested.
Both are charged with child neglect and animal cruelty.
Neglect of a child is a 3rd degree felony and animal cruelty is a 1st degree misdemeanor.
A grandparent now has the boy.
Florida DCF is involved.
My question is this: if the grandparents were involved in the child's life, why would they not act before now?
Anything could have happened to that child.
This is the best possible outcome, it could have been so much worse.

The person recording the video witnessed her leaving Cait’s campaign office, recorded the video, and filed a police report with the Clarkstown Police Department. I’ve been raising concerns about our signs being taken down for weeks. Now, it’s on video.

Today was absolutely ridiculous on the internet, although what I witnessed was far more disturbing than funny. We are living in some of the most irrational times imaginable.
Watching so many women insist that other women should fall in line, remain silent, and never question or challenge the Muslim Brotherhood is astonishing. Imagine having the freedom to speak, think, and challenge authority, only to use that freedom to shame other women for exercising those very rights.
History has shown us repeatedly how societies lose their freedoms. It rarely happens overnight. It happens when people stop asking questions, excuse dangerous ideologies, abandon critical thinking, and convince themselves that confronting uncomfortable truths is somehow more dangerous than the threats themselves.
We have become a society that teaches too little history, demands too little intellectual honesty, and mistakes ideological conformity for moral virtue. The tragedy is that we have centuries of history to learn from, yet so many seem determined to repeat its worst lessons.
Great societies do not survive by teaching people what to think and whom to OBEY. They survive by teaching people how to think, how to question, and why their freedoms are worth defending.
