🔥 One Of The Greatest, Most Brutally Honest Scenes In TV History.
In Landman, Billy Bob Thornton’s character Tommy Norris drops a masterclass monologue that completely obliterates the delusional “green energy” fantasy in under two minutes.
Billy Bob Thornton as Tommy Norris is out in the Texas oil patch, looking at those massive 400-foot wind turbines supposedly “powering a clean future”… while they’re actually running remote oil wells because there’s no grid electricity out there.
She asks, “They use clean energy to power the oil wells?”
Tommy fires back: “They use alternative energy. There’s nothing clean about this.”
He breaks down the “clean” reality: These things sit on giant concrete foundations poured with diesel, made from steel cooked in fossil fuel furnaces, hauled and cranked up by fuel-guzzling trucks and cranes, then slathered in petroleum lubricants just to spin for their measly 20-year life.
Tommy doesn’t stop there. Fossil fuels aren’t some dirty secret, they’re the lifeblood of everything modern. The roads you drive, the tires on your EV, the plastic in your phone, your clothes, your fridge, your medicine, your makeup and lipstick… you name it.
Pretending we can wave a magic wand and “transition” away from oil overnight? That’s the real delusion sold by folks who’ve never gotten their hands dirty in the real world.
Taylor Sheridan and Billy Bob delivered one of the most honest, unapologetic scenes on TV in years. No preaching, just straight facts from the patch.
Watch the clip. None of this is “green” or “clean”. Not the turbines, not the transition, not the fantasy.

My girlfriend got on to me the other day because she doesn’t understand why I can’t just pick eggs out of the carton like a “normal” person. She’s standing there watching me and says, “Why can’t you just go row by row like everyone else?”
I said, “Because no egg should ever know when its time is coming.”
She stared at me for a second, shook her head, and said, “You’re a psycho,” then walked off.
Little does she know…I’ve got a whole tournament system going on. I take two eggs, tap them together, and whichever one doesn’t crack moves on to the next round.
Only the strongest survive. 🥚 💪 😂

It’s so wild to me that these two used to bring the best sports highlight show ever with funny lines and great clips.
Today, one of them has one of the biggest sports radio shows in America and the other has completely lost his mind.
Life is weird.

“Did you guys shoot that whisky ad with Sammy Davis Jr. yet?”
“Yeah.”
“How did it go?”
“It was the weirdest fucking day of my entire life.”

Consider this. Trump's team is simply delivering on everything he campaigned on. The exact deliverables that 77,000,000 Americans said "YES" to. The establishment's response is to act as if this is some sort of coup.
Here's the thing, though. It kind of is. Because this is the first real president in your lifetime.
What we had always been told was reality: we vote, new guy takes office, new guy implements his platform. This is not at all how it worked.
Until 2 weeks ago.
They act like it's a coup because it is.
The president isn't supposed to run shit. You aren't supposed to be able to vote for real change. The establishment is supposed to be immutable.
That's not a condemnation of Trump or his supporters. It's a damning revelation about the establishment.
They cry out not to warn you but in hopes you might be dumb enough to let them retain power. Don't listen. Forge ahead. Abolish as much as you can while you can.
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity

Bob Uecker was one of the funniest, sharpest and best baseball voices ever.
Here’s Norm Macdonald on Letterman talking about the time Uecker wanted to introduce him to John Fogerty.
Rest in peace to a legend.
