SCOOP: Major U.S. banks are detecting unauthorized third-party AI agents inside customer accounts, including some attempting to take actions that appear to be independent of user instructions, sources told Axios. The findings have alarmed banking executives, who are racing to restrict access to their systems as AI moves at a velocity faster than financial institutions can respond, multiple industry and bank executives told Axios. Several banks are now preparing for worst-case and even “day after” scenarios, including how to rapidly secure or restore customer accounts if things go wrong, the people said. Several bank executives told Axios they're struggling to distinguish between human users and AI agents. One executive said banks also struggle to determine whether agents are authorized by customers or potentially operating without their permission, more akin to rogue agent behavior. Read my latest for Axios here: axios.com/2026/10/22/ai-agen…

The New Orleans Saints organization mourns the passing of NFL icon Mike Ditka, who passed away today at the age of 86. We extend our deepest condolences to the Ditka family, his loved ones, and the generations of fans who were inspired by his unforgettable presence in our sport. Mike’s life was defined by an unyielding work ethic, a fierce love for the game, and a relentless determination that helped reshape American football. As a pioneer on the field, he revolutionized the tight end position, playing with a signature passion that earned him enshrinement in the Pro Football Hall of Fame before bringing that same legendary competitive fire to the sidelines. We proudly honor his chapters as a head coach in New Orleans. While his time leading our franchise on the field was brief in longevity, his presence left an indelible mark on our organization. Mike approached his tenure with the Saints with the same bold authenticity and relentless drive that defined his entire career. Beyond the wins and losses, his genuine kindness, vibrant personality, and immense generosity to many within our facility created an enduring legacy that our staff and community still fondly remember. While the football world remembers "Iron Mike" for his unparalleled competitive spirit, we admire the true character, passion, and unique energy he brought to our franchise. His contributions as a player, coach, and lifelong ambassador helped build the modern NFL, and his time in New Orleans will always remain a cherished part of our history.

Twenty years ago he blocked a punt in the first game back after Hurricane Katrina. He has had ALS for fifteen years. Today the city gave him its key, and he led the parade himself. His name is Steve Gleason and he played for the New Orleans Saints. This afternoon he led a second line from Lafayette Square to Champions Square. Mayor Helena Moreno handed him the key to New Orleans. Then he performed his new album with Marc Broussard in front of the crowd. The album is called Rebirth. It is his poetry set to music by New Orleans musicians. Tonight he was on the floor of the Superdome with his family, twenty years to the season since the building reopened. The opponent tonight is Atlanta. Same team, same Monday night, same building. You know what he did in that building. Everybody does. Here is what you probably do not know, because he only said it this week. He thinks that punt is why he is alive. "If I do not block that punt, I am another former special teams player, a has-been football guy. When ALS came, I probably fade away quietly and die anonymously." And then this. "The truth I have to live with is this: The same play that helped New Orleans breathe again is a big reason I'm still breathing now." Sit with that for a second. A backup safety made one play on a Monday night in 2006. The city needed it. Five years later he got a diagnosis that takes most people in three to five years, and the only reason anybody was listening when he started talking about it was that play. He is in the ten to twenty percent of people with ALS who make it past a decade. He is nearly sixteen years in. He said something else about walking back into that stadium. "When I roll back into that stadium, I will not only be revisiting a monument of 2006, but I will be walking into a mirror. A place that had to learn how to rise. I had to learn the same thing." And this one is the whole thing in nine words. "I'm still here. That still surprises some people." Be honest about what today does and does not change. There is no cure. He needs help to move and help to breathe, and a key to a city does not alter any of that. But a man who cannot speak with his own voice spent this afternoon leading a parade through New Orleans, and tonight he sat on the floor of the Superdome with his wife and his kids, in the building he helped bring back to life. Twenty years ago he gave that city one play. He says the city gave him the rest of his life.

My parents raised me on soy milk in the 70s. They thought it was super healthy. I think that’s why I look like a Mexican woman. Not that there’s anything wrong with that. I make it work.
