ALT The programme aimed to create awareness about food security, nutrition, sustainable food systems, and the role of innovation in addressing future food challenges. The programme was chaired by Dr. V. S. Pawar, Professor and Head, College of Food Technology, VNMKV, Parbhani. Her presence highlighted the importance of innovation, research, and technological advancement in the food processing sector. As part of the celebration, the exhibition of Experiential Learning Programme (ELP) products was inaugurated by her. The exhibition showcased innovative food products developed by students, including Oat-Moringa Soup Premix and Date Chocolates. These products reflected the students’ efforts to develop nutritious, value-added food products by combining nutritional ingredients with food processing technologies.

ALT The exhibition provided a platform for students to demonstrate their technical knowledge, product development skills, and entrepreneurial potential. It also emphasized the significance of utilizing nutrient-rich ingredients and developing innovative food products to meet the changing needs of consumers. The celebration reinforced the message of World Food Day that innovation in food production and processing is essential for building a healthier, more sustainable, and food-secure future. The event concluded with an emphasis on the vital role of food technologists in promoting nutrition, reducing food waste, and contributing to sustainable food systems. MIT College of Food Technology reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing skilled food technologists and encouraging innovation for a nourished tomorrow.

ALT The visit aimed to complement classroom learning with practical exposure to the functioning of a spice processing unit. The students were introduced to various aspects of spice processing, including raw material handling, cleaning, drying, grinding, blending and packaging, as applicable to the operations at the unit. The visit also provided an opportunity to understand the importance of hygienic processing practices, quality assurance and proper handling of spices to maintain product quality and safety. The interaction with the processing unit helped students appreciate the role of processing technologies in transforming raw spices into value-added products. Furthermore, it enhanced their understanding of the operational requirements, quality considerations and packaging practices associated with the spice processing industry.

ALT Our Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering, in association with the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT), Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, organized a one-week bootcamp on “RTL Design, IP Integration and SoC Sign-Off.” The bootcamp was organized from 5th Oct to 10th Oct 2026, for the Third year students of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering and Electronics and Computer Engineering, with 110+ students participating in this enriching learning experience. The Bootcamp inauguration ceremony was chaired by Chief Guest, Shri Subhanshu Tiwari, Executive Director, NIELIT Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar; Mr. Ashwin Pawar, Deputy Director (Technical), NIELIT; trainers Mr. Kushagra Singh and Mr. Pratik Pawar; Dr. Nilesh G. Patil, Director, MIT Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar; Dr. Shilpa Nandedkar, Head of the Department; and Dr. Shilpa Kodgire, Programme Coordinator were present for the Inauguration.

ALT The programme provided students with valuable practical knowledge of digital design and VLSI technologies. The bootcamp covered two major modules: Verilog and RTL Coding: Learning to write and develop digital designs. Design Simulation and Synthesis: Using open-source tools such as Verilator and Yosys to test designs and convert them into logic representations. The final practical assessment helped students apply their knowledge by developing and running design solutions independently. Key Learning Outcomes: Better understanding of digital design and RTL coding. Hands-on experience with open-source design tools. Improved skills in writing, testing and synthesizing RTL designs. Greater confidence in solving practical design problems. We sincerely thank NIELIT, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, the trainers, institute leadership and all participants for their valuable support and active involvement in making this bootcamp a success.
