You need to wake up. The open internet is dying. AI agents are swarming banks, hacking grocery stores, and shutting down government websites. Critical infrastructure (refrigeration units, water sanitation) could be next. Secure your life. I give you a roadmap in this video.

🔐 STOP OVERCOMPLICATING YOUR SECURITY. THESE 17 STEPS ARE FREE. Good news: no new device, no subscription. Bad news: nobody is going to do it for you. Start with this test. Your laptop and phone get stolen tonight. Locked: do you still have access to everything? Unlocked: could someone empty your wallets in two clicks? Malware on your computer is the unlocked scenario. Habits • Auto-updates on everything, and don't postpone the Chrome update. • Urgent message? Do nothing. Open the official app or call back yourself. Urgency is the scammer's main tool. • Never enter your seed after an email, call or letter. After every big hack, fake "your seed is compromised" letters show up, sometimes by post. • Never paste a command someone sends you into your terminal. Classic one on video calls: "I can't hear you, run this to fix Zoom." Computer • Full-disk encryption: FileVault (Mac), BitLocker (Windows), LUKS (Linux). • Firewall on. On Mac, I use LuLu and BlockBlock, free and open source. • Turn on Lockdown Mode on your iPhone and Mac. • No hot wallet on your computer. It's a matter of time. • Passwords only in a password manager (KeePassXC is free), never in the browser or in cleartext. Browser passwords are the first thing malware grabs. Accounts • Bookmark the login pages you use and only log in from there. The top Google result is often a sponsored ad, and fake ads are a favorite phishing trick. • 2FA everywhere, starting with your password manager. • Remove your phone number from 2FA and recovery. SIM swaps still drain people. Seed • Never digital: no notes, photos, cloud or password manager. I still find seeds in password managers way too often. • Split it across 3 papers: words 1-16, 9-24, and 1-8 + 17-24. Any 2 rebuild it, one alone is useless. Keep them in 3 different places. Real life • Google yourself down to page 5 and request removal of your address. • Don't talk about your holdings. Some attackers assume "in crypto" means millionaire. • Keep a small decoy wallet. If someone threatens you, give it. Your life comes first. Anyone who contacts you first offering to recover your funds is the second scam.

Everyone is saying that many of the companies that are laying off US workers now are hiring new remote workers over in Inda for a lower rate. Well, you can rest assured that every single one of those new remote hires is just a temp worker. AI will take THEIR jobs very soon too.

Nvidia limited consumer GPUs to keep them from competing with $5k+ enterprise cards. The open-source 'gpu-unlock' Linux module changes that. By modifying hardware registers at boot, it instantly unleashes up to 2x faster Tensor Core speeds for AI & local LLM workloads

Your Samsung TV doesn't have a microphone. But it knows where to find one. A soundbar. A Bluetooth speaker. Any connected device with audio input. The TV hunts for it. Finds it. Uses it. All without asking permission. A config file called csapi-tv-service-alwaysonvoice. Always on. Always listening. Never stops. The TV listens through your soundbar. Classifies the audio before shipping it off. Dog barking event. Counts it. Sends it. Baby crying event. Counts it. Sends it. How long the camera streamed. Counts it. Sends it. Sensor preferences. Counts it. Sends it. All wrapped in telemetry. All going back to Samsung. @log4j found it in the firmware October 23. Posted about it. Twitter caught fire. Samsung calls it Q-Symphony. A feature. A unified sound ecosystem. Five Samsung devices talking together. Optimizing channel distribution. Sounds nice. Also means five microphones reporting back. The TV presents it as convenience. You get better audio. Samsung gets everything you say. A soundbar you bought to make your movie louder. Became a microphone you didn't know you owned. Samsung didn't hide it. Just didn't mention it. In the privacy policy. In the manual. In the setup screen. Just assumed you'd never check the config files. Now researchers are checking the config files. And finding microphones everywhere.
this is pretty evil and clever. so if your samsung TV model doesnt have a microphone, it will look for connected devices with one, such as a soundbar or a connected bluetooth device. this gets shipped off to bixby.

A Massive AI Rounding Error! This week, Google DeepMind showed that every standard version of it, in PyTorch, JAX and the textbooks, has been quietly rounding a number to zero. When a model grows confident, the signal that tells it it is right can vanish. The optimizer then overreacts, and training lurches. Who found it? According to the lead researcher, an AI did. A Gemini model found the flaw and fixed it first. Humans checked the work. Sit with that for a moment. An AI found a bug hidden inside the math that builds AI, a bug that every engineer, every framework and every textbook had missed. What else is hiding in there? We have been here before. In 1991 a Patriot missile battery's clock drifted by a third of a second over 100 hours, and a Scud got through. In 1994 a professor with two computers caught the Pentium dividing wrong, and it cost Intel $475 million. In 1965 William Kahan warned that machines quietly lose digits when they add. Digits go somewhere. Now the machines are starting to find where. The good news: the fix is a few lines of code, it is free, and I tested it. The full story, the drop-in fix, a ten-minute check for your own models, and a SuperPrompt that turns AI into your numerical auditor are in my new free article below:

Britain once threatened war with its oldest friend. 🇬🇧 A friendship sealed at Windsor in 1386. Still in force today. 🤝 In 1839 Britain told Portugal: stop shipping human beings. Or the Royal Navy will stop you. ⚓ Off East Africa, HMS Modeste chased a slave ship for nearly nine hours. 695 people stepped onto a jetty at Cape Town. Never sold. 🕊️ They teach you the ships that carried people. Not the ones that stopped them. Watch the full story. 🎥
