Today, we are sharing a message from Parker's parents.
The audio for this video was recorded before Parker was found. Following the heartbreaking discovery of their son, Parker's parents asked that we still share their message publicly as a way of expressing their gratitude for the overwhelming support they received from Calgarians throughout the search.
During the most difficult time of their lives, they were surrounded by kindness, compassion, and a community that stood beside them every step of the way.
Parker's family wishes to thank everyone who searched, shared information, offered support, and kept their family in their thoughts.

We know Parker loves Disney music, so officers are playing some of his favourite songs from patrol vehicles in the search area in the hope that it may help draw his attention and encourage him to come out if he is nearby.
This search remains our highest priority. We'll continue doing everything we can to find Parker and bring him home safely. โค๏ธ

Iโm thankful for the work of the diligent Calgary Police officers and ground search teams working around the clock to find Parker. The province has also deployed 74 trained search and rescue personnel to assist in this search.
But we need your help.
๐จCalgary - please help assist in the search for Parker. Check your yards, doorbell cameras, garages and other accessible spaces.๐จ
Parker is an 11 year old boy, he has autism and is non-verbal. If you see Parker, do not approach him, as he can become easily frightened and may attempt to hide. Instead, keep your distance and contact police immediately.

On this day in 2017, Gord Downie died.
Born in 1964, he was the singer and lyricist for the Tragically Hip from 1984 until his death.
Considered a Canadian icon, he was involved in environmental and Indigenous activism later in life.

ALT ### Image Description A black-and-white photograph of Canadian musician Gord Downie, lead singer of The Tragically Hip, captured in a recording studio setting. Downie, bald with a trimmed beard, gazes thoughtfully at the camera while seated and playing an acoustic guitar, his hands on the fretboard and strings. He wears a light-colored T-shirt under a fringed denim jacket, with a large condenser microphone on a stand positioned in front of him. The background features a blurred array of studio equipment, cables, and draped fabrics, evoking an intimate, behind-the-scenes music session vibe.

๐จโจ On this day in 1877, Tom Thomson was bornโan artist whose legacy continues to shape Canadian art.
Though his career was brief, Thomson created more than 400 vibrant sketches and around 50 finished canvases, capturing the raw beauty and spirit of the wilderness like no one else.
As fellow artist Arthur Lismer once said, Thomson โsought the wilderness, never seeking to tame it, but only to draw from it, its magic of tangle and season.โ
Today, we honour the man behind the mythโand the landscapes that still take our breath away. ๐ฒ๐๏ธ
