I am deeply saddened by the tragic loss of Private Shaun Farrell of the 3rd Battalion Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry during a fire-related training incident at CFB Wainwright on Saturday. My heartfelt condolences go to his family in Prince Albert. My thoughts remain with all who are grieving.

Great to be a panelist at today’s discussion on strengthening Canada-Latin America relations. An important conversation about building stronger connections and creating new opportunities for cooperation.

Canadian farmers should be focusing on harvesting their crops, not on how they are going to pay their diesel bill. They need affordable fuel to keep our economy moving #cdnpoli #skpoli #harvest

Over the past few years, I have been very clear. Strengthening supply and value chains will not be easy. But for economic security and growth, it is vital. This is why I commend former Prime Ministers @stephenharper and Jean Chrétien for putting aside partisan politics to regain the foreign investment deficiency Canada experienced for 10 years under Justin Trudeau. Canada has what the world wants. We need investment to unlock our economic potential. Congratulations as well to @PremierScottMoe for bringing $50 billion in Bell investment to Saskatchewan. #cdnpoli #skpoli

Last week in BC, we heard firsthand from business and industry leaders in Vancouver, Langley and Abbotsford about the challenges and opportunities facing Canada. A lot of discussion around Canada–U.S. relations and the uncertainty in our trading relationship. Thanks to @takovanpopta @BradleyVis @PortofVan @COFI_INFO @BC_Maritime @COSBCTweets for having me!

CUSMA and Canada-U.S. trade uncertainty continue to shape conversations with the business community, and last week's stops in Toronto and Southwestern Ontario were no exception.   Meeting with business owners and community leaders, we discussed the current trade climate and the challenges they are navigating.   Thank you to @NedKurucMP @DanMuysMP @ConnieCodyMP and @KellyDeRidderMP for welcoming @shuvmajumdar and me to your communities and for helping bring together these important conversations.

I had the chance to tour CN's Walker Yard today in Edmonton and learn more about the work that keeps Canada's rail network moving safely and efficiently. Walker Yard plays an important role in CN's operations, helping keep goods moving across Canada every day. Thanks to @KerryDiotte, MP for Edmonton Griesbach, and the @CNRailway team for taking the time to show us around.

It was a pleasure to join my colleagues, @JohnBarlowMP Shadow Minister for Agriculture & Agri-Food, and @daveeppckl Shadow Minister for Rural Development, at the North American Grazing Lands Congress in Southern Alberta. Thank you @CanCattle for bringing us together to discuss conserving our grasslands, protecting biodiversity, and supporting farmers and ranchers as partners in sustainable conservation.

Last week I was in Manitoba, sitting down with local businesses and industry leaders to talk through where things stand economically, what’s top of mind for them right now, and the questions many are facing as the CUSMA review approaches. A big thank you to MP Grant Jackson and MP Branden Leslie for having me in their communities. A look back at the week below👇

I was asked about the 2026 CUSMA Review and the possibility of the trade deal not being renewed. Here are my comments:

In Saskatchewan, spring seeding is three weeks later than it should be, and people are stressed. They're burning the midnight oil and the candle at both ends. To the farmers in my riding and across Saskatchewan, take a breath, try to relax, and be safe out there. All Canadians are feeling the impact of increasing costs. Government needs to act. That is why my @CPC_HQ colleagues propose removing the fuel tax on gas and diesel. It would provide an immediate impact without creating more bureaucracy. #cdnpoli #skpoli
