PTs, ATs, coaches, and athletes that are overseeing or going through a return to throw program, we offer this alternative. No more throw counts or using distance to gauge intensity. Instead, an individualized progression based on objective data. bit.ly/DataDrivenITP

A reminder that a week of “arm care” is not enough preparation for HS athletes to just let it rip the following week. Building workload takes time—if you don’t take the time to do it right, you’ll likely be forced to take the time to do it over.

Me: What’s your plan for today? Player: Probably throw a 7 or 8 WL at ~75%. With the off day tomorrow & another light day Monday I’ll have over 30 WL available Tuesday. Me: 🙂 Tracking throwing WL allows players to take ownership over their process. It’s freeing, not limiting.

I’m currently writing a throwing program—based on actual data—for an athlete ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE WORLD. It’s unreal. MLB orgs not using a @DrivelinePulse to manage out-of-season, in-season, or rehab throwing programs are leaving some seriously low hanging fruit on the tree.

So awesome to see our—@JamieDestache @M_C_Throwing—program be used as a piece of the puzzle. Fires me up!
Here is from 1st throw back at 6 months post op, to now being 92-95mph, 14 months out. We measured every throw using @DrivelinePulse and planned his progression using @Kinetic_Pro and @M_C_Throwing then Motus tracked return to throw. @AidenMay_24 was a beast throughout his rehab

This is why it’s important to use torque to guide the progression of an ITP. It not only provides an objective guide, it also allows pitchers to throw from the mound sooner. Provide the framework—torque limit, ODW goal—and let them work.
DYK: Compared to pitching on flat ground, pitching from mound will ⬆️ velocity without changing elbow torque? Also...radar gun may not be ideal surrogate for elbow torque. 🤷‍♂️ Open access: journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.… @DowlingBrit @joshdinesmd @OJSM_SportsMed @MotusGlobal

Felt great to be back in the facility last night! This athlete crushed it on the remote workload program using the @MotusGlobal sleeve and was able to jump right into pitch design. Using @PitchlogicS we evaluated his current arsenal and set a plan for the coming months!

The plan: Increase FB spin efficiency. Kill VB on the CH. Gain consistent feel of CB. Add a CT or SL. Looking forward to charting these same pitches in eight weeks!

Using the @MotusGlobal sleeve this athlete has been able to build chronic workload in spite of the shutdown and Minnesota winter. First we built a base and now we’re adding intensity. When the facility opens back up he’ll be able to get on the mound without missing a beat!

This shutdown has made training difficult, but with the @MotusGlobal sleeve we don’t have to waste time or lose ground. This athlete is throwing in a basement, building chronic workload, and ensuring he can hit the ground running when he gets back on the mound!

Traditional interval throwing programs have plenty of problems. Let’s talk about solutions. Our ITP: -Is based on objective data. -Uses acute:chronic workload ratios as a framework. -Can be individualized & adjusted easily. It’s time to stop guessing. bit.ly/DataDrivenITP
