Operation Ghostbusters is a nationwide investigation into a large‑scale student‑loan fraud scheme in which criminal actors created fraudulent Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) accounts using stolen U.S. citizen identities to enroll “ghost students” in educational institutions.

The High Court has ruled that President William Ruto’s announcements on preferential allocation of affordable housing units to teachers & police officers cannot alter the allocation criteria established under the Affordable Housing Act & its Regulations without a legal basis.
Justice Patricia Nyaundi Mande states that the presidential pronouncements made on June 3 & September 13, 2025, had no legal effect in the absence of a statutory framework supporting them.
The case was filed by John Maina Ndegwa, Marshalls Tito Ongoya and two other petitioners, who challenged the proposed preferential allocation of housing units to selected groups.
