This is a fantastic piece by disability advocate @roisinlenehan19 highlighting the everyday obstacles that she faces in the public spaces that we all share. Róisín completed our media training last Nov. Thanks to @AlisonMaryORE for the article irishexaminer.com/news/spotl… @Vision_Irl

Vision Ireland, the new name for NCBI. Same work, same goals - for a clearer future.
After 92 years as NCBI, we're stepping into the next chapter as Vision Ireland. Our new name is more inclusive, letting everyone know we support a wide range of visual impairments

It's not just a new name; it's a fresh start, building upon a legacy of support for our #community with the same goals and missions, but with a renewed commitment to being even more #inclusive. Together, we're paving the way to a #brighter, more inclusive future. #AChangeInSight

#PurpleLights20 Collage I think. can we get these and even more buildings for #PurpleLights23 #PurpleLights aim is twofold. One making people aware of us, the largest minority in the country and two celebrating the disability community, us having a party. @DisabilityFed

The students of NLN Naas had a very productive #MakeWayDay documenting blocked paths in the community today. Drawing attention to these obstacles and raising awareness will hopefully make our streets more accessible for people with disabilities. #MakeWayDay23 #Advocacy #Inclusion

This bugs me for sheer selfishness and a complete lack of care or awareness of anybody but themselves. #MakeWayDay obviously had no effect in Killester, so much for Moby bikes are always parked correctly Maybe #MakeWayDay23 will. @DisabilityFed @MakeWayDay @DubCityCouncil

On #MakeWayDay23, we need to listen to disabled people and remove unnecessary obstacles to moving about freely. @jcawleyjnr highlights the need for #universaldesign
