99.3% is about as close to unanimous as a shareholder vote gets. I'm curious how many retirees end up treating STRC like a savings account now that it pays every day, because that's a lot of trust to put in one company's balance sheet.

Paying off a house used to mean you could stop worrying about losing it. If the county can still take it over a tax bill that goes up every year, older people on fixed incomes get pushed out of the homes they meant to leave to their kids.

Two more hikes and the S&P still at 8,400 by June is a strange pair of things to believe at once, unless they think earnings carry it, which is a lot to ask of the same few AI names that carried this year.

We pulled the federal oil price data going back to 2001 and counted the trading days WTI closed above $100 under each president. Most of it comes down to world events, but energy policy shows up in every family's budget at the pump.

We keep coming back to this one. Most of what we've learned on the show came from pushing a question further than felt comfortable.

An athlete moved to the US and didn't change his meal plan at all. He gained 17 pounds in about two and a half months. @meathead_prof told us on our show that our food supply is garbage. We're feeding our kids from it every day.

Go further than feels comfortable. The truth usually waits out there.

If my kid's teacher hung that up and took the American flag down, I'd be at the next board meeting asking who approved it. Parents in Irvine should ask for the policy in writing.

Which means a lot of retirees with annuities at life insurers like Athene are funding the AI buildout without knowing it. I'd want to know how much of that credit is backed by actual revenue.

I'd add that the wealth AI creates is going to land with a pretty small group of people, and the ones it puts out of work won't have much to preserve, Bitcoin or not.

They lost fifteen billion in market cap before lunch, and honestly the cut to the delivery goal worries me more than the loss, because it means whatever is wrong on the factory floor still isn't fixed.

Herbert saw it clearly. This is why we want power kept small and close to home, where we can see who is reaching for it.

@meathead_prof told us he thinks people on the right tend to take more personal ownership of their lives. And if you're complaining on Facebook from a couple thousand dollar iPhone, he doesn't feel bad for you. Is he right?

A hold at these rates still leaves a young couple looking at a mortgage they can't afford, so I don't really get why markets treat it as good news.

Anyone in Brazil with a floating rate loan just had their monthly payment change overnight, and I doubt most of them thought a 300 basis point day was even possible.
