Within 12 days over 4 femicides has happened in igboland. I hope all of you are taking notes. Tomorrow when we talk they’ll say we are attacking Igbo men on this app.
Tragedy in Owerri, Imo State as Man Allegedly Throws Girlfriend’s Sister from Storey Building After She Reportedly Rejects His S£xu@l Advances ( victim video via my TG👇) A disturbing incident has reportedly occurred at Mbonu Ejike, Owerri, Imo State, where a young man allegedly threw his girlfriend’s sister from a storey building after she reportedly rejected his s£xual advances. According to a voice note circulating online, a woman who claimed to live in the area alleged that the victim’s sister had travelled and left her with her boyfriend. The suspect reportedly attempted to have s£xu@l intercourse with the victim, but she allegedly rejected his advances before he pushed her down from the building. The suspect has reportedly been arrested by operatives of the Imo State Police Command following the incident, which allegedly occurred today. Note: As we await an official confirmation and further details from the Imo State Police Command, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unconfirmed.

Let's move beyond the idea of ancestral land as simply an empty piece of land. Land is increasingly scarce in many Igbo communities, and much of what we call ancestral land has already been developed, with family homes built on it over generations and there is evidence to this. Consider a husband and wife who have spent their lives investing their resources and building a home together, where they raise their daughters. The daughters grow up, marry and establish their own families. Eventually, both parents die. Are we suggesting that because this couple had no sons, the ụmụnna should take over their family home? That the daughters, who grew up in that house, should simply hand over the keys to their father's male relatives because they are married women? And what would that mean in practical terms? Would the ụmụnna move into their parents' bedroom, start using their kitchen and take possession of the home? Or would they demolish the house so that the property becomes vacant ancestral land again? Make it make sense! This is precisely why women are questioning some of these customary practices. We are no longer talking about abstract ancestral land rights but about homes, family investments, belonging, inheritance and intergenerational security. How does marriage extinguish a daughter's claim to her parents' home while preserving the claims of male relatives who may have contributed nothing to building it? Are we brewing trouble? These are legitimate questions that deserve thoughtful, evidence-based answers, not insults or accusations of ignorance. Understanding our culture does not mean suspending critical thinking about its consequences. I have some knowledge of how situations like this have been handled in certain Igbo villages, but I am genuinely interested in learning how other communities approach them. When both parents die leaving only married daughters, what actually happens to the family home? Who takes possession, what rights do the daughters retain, and how are such matters resolved within the community? I welcome lived experiences, oral histories and documented examples from different Igbo communities. After all, Igbo communities are not homogeneous, and culture is not static. Practices vary across communities and generations, and these differences deserve to be understood rather than dismissed, because whether we like it or not, they are changing, so also what they mean for future generations. They are conversations worth having!

And post colonial rule they allowed religion and their men to lead them into forgetting themselves.
Igbo women shook colonial rule so profoundly that even Lugard had to admit it: they were “ambitious, self‑reliant, hard‑working… claiming full equality with the opposite sex.” The Women’s War didn’t just protest it exposed the limits of empire

Women do not inherit lands in their husband's community in Igbo culture like you liars like to say. They are "allowed" to use the husband's land held in trust for their sons. Something becomes yours when you have your name on it, have the right to alter it, give it away or sell it. You women that believe this shit make me laugh. You do not own jack. If you decided to walk away from that marriage today you will leave with nothing, so how is it yours? If e sure for you try to lease it out commercially or sell it to solve a problem then you will be reminded of your place. Why do I care? Because it is good to establish the truth openly.

ENUGU STATE: LISTENING TO THE PEOPLE AND BUILDING A UNITED NIGERIA Following yesterday’s (29th October) town hall meeting in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, I proceeded to Enugu State, where we held another town hall meeting as part of our ongoing nationwide engagement. I was joined by my brother and Vice Presidential Candidate of our party, the NDC, His Excellency, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso. In Enugu, we met with our teeming supporters and enthusiastic citizens who lined the streets and besieged the venue in their numbers. In our conversations, including the contributions from our Vice Presidential Candidate and me, we reiterated our commitment to uniting and securing the country, tackling corruption, massively investing in critical areas of development, particularly health and education, and pulling our people out of poverty. Shortly before the town hall event, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and I met with the leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Enugu Chapter, where we reaffirmed our commitment to national unity, religious harmony and peaceful coexistence. Leadership must be about listening to the people. Those seeking to lead must understand what Nigerians need and be willing to receive feedback on the impact of government policies and decisions. I thank our teeming supporters, party members and organisers for their dedication and commitment. I also thank the good people of Enugu State for their warm reception. A New Nigeria is POssible, and Nigeria will be OK! -PO

We are so dishonest on this app. A Nigerian man in his 30s is married to a girl in her early 20s who, according to him, is currently pursuing her master's degree. The said man is online but has banned his wife from being on X, Facebook and TikTok. He has instructed her not to be here. Men are cheering him on for MANNING HIS HOUSE. Do you understand what it means for a fully grown adult woman, who has gone through the four walls of a university and is currently pursuing her master's degree, to get married to a man who then decides that she is no longer sensible enough to distinguish good from evil? This same man can be on these platforms, where people like Andrew Tate and others exist, and somehow has the discernment to decide what is good for him to consume, what to learn from and what to ignore. But the woman he has married? Apparently, she lacks that same ability. She is only book-smart and home-smart. She is suddenly a child who cannot navigate the world without her husband's supervision and authorization. So, what does he do as the head of the house? He bans her from three or four major social media platforms, presumably because he has appointed himself her guardian angel, responsible for shielding her from the toxicity of the internet. Do you understand the contradiction?🤷 A man who celebrates his wife's intelligence when it suits him suddenly considers her incapable of exercising independent judgment when it comes to her own exposure to the world. The same world that she was dealing with before meeting him. And somehow, people do not see the intent behind this action. They do not see how it infantilises a grown, educated woman. They do not see how it strips her of the autonomy to make decisions for herself. They do not see how control is being packaged and celebrated as responsible husbandhood. Nobody is arguing that social media is harmless. Nobody is saying people should not make decisions about what they consume or the platforms they use. But there is a fundamental difference between a grown woman deciding what is healthy for her and a grown man deciding that his wife is incapable of making that decision for herself. You cannot celebrate a woman's education, intelligence and accomplishments and then expect her to surrender her critical thinking and personal autonomy at the entrance of marriage. And somehow, in all of this, supposedly educated men do not see the problem in the big year 2026 of our Lord Jesus. God will judge all of you who pretend not to understand what we are talking about when we discuss these things.

A doctor told me that women’s health research are heavily underfunded and under-resourced. He knows that the current medical knowledge is still largely built around a male default. Misdiagnosis is on top of the list. However, women and men suffer symptoms of the same medical condition differently. One is misdiagnosed because their symptom didn’t fit the textbook knowledge. These are the issues. Don’t let anyone gaslight you.

We must tell our story, one book at a time. 👏👏👏 Where can we get this?
Mazi Uche Ohia has been writing about Arondizuogu ever since I got to know him, and each day I pick his books up to reference something, its content makes more and more sense on why Ndi Aro are the most documented of Ndi Igbo. I commend Dr Ohia for his immense efforts in documenting our stories even to the point of setting up the Gong musueum Ndiakaeme, Arondizuogu launching 26th December, 2026. My dear Ndị Igbo, write about your communities, your people and your origins, for history to be kinder to us. We must not let others only tell our stories through their lenses. Let's invest in identity, a long term life sustaining legacy. gongmuseum.com/
