It becomes nearly impossible to debate someone willing to lie so obviously and blatantly. @NYSERDA is taking money OUT of our electric bills through the delivery charge and SBC charge to give to renewable corporations. They do this through Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs). While Upstaters can’t afford their electric bills, NYSERDA is sitting on over $2 billion dollars. For one ORES solar complex, like Flat Creek Solar, NYSERDA promised over $500 million in RECs throughout the complex’s lifetime to Pattern Energy… a Canadian Pension Plan Investment Board. We need a new governor desperately.
Gov. Kathy Hochul says she can keep utility bills low for families while still pursuing clean energy. She made stops in Syracuse, Buffalo and Rochester on Saturday, as early voting began across New York.

I’m sure ORES didn’t picture this duo coming after them a year ago. And I’m sure @GovKathyHochul certainly didn’t imagine @johnrich would debut his song, Dear Kathy, right inside my Amish barn. The cavalry is coming y’all!

Replying to @MarkWalczyk
@MarkWalczyk calling to attention how New Yorkers pay 70% more than the rest of the country for basic energy. Democrats’ green energy mandates are bleeding our pockets dry and charging more than ever to fulfill unrealistic climate goals.

Sen. Pete Harckham closed Climate Week at the Croton-Harmon solar canopy with a case against nuclear. We paused it five times for a FACT CHECK: "A kilowatt of solar is far less expensive than a kilowatt of nuclear." A kilowatt is a size, not electricity. Last year one kilowatt of New York's reactors made 8,300 kilowatt-hours. One kilowatt of New York's rooftop and canopy solar made about 1,000. His own February press release said "kilowatt-hour." He knows the difference. "90% of the world's new generation." That's IRENA's count of new capacity, in gigawatts. The world burned more fossil fuel for electricity over his "last several years," not less, and fossil CO2 set a record in 2025. Solar has been stacked on top, not swapped in. "Everybody's bills went up 25%." Georgia's regulator approved $14.37 a month for Vogtle, about 8% of a bill. The rest was fuel and base rates. Georgia pays 16 cents a kilowatt-hour. New York pays 30. "Yields the village close to $500,000 in annual income." It's rent from Altus Power, the private owner. NYSERDA paid $2.2M of the build from a charge on every New York electric bill, Washington covered 30% more, and the output becomes roughly $1M a year in Con Ed bill credits that the PSC's own order recovers "from all delivery customers." Croton's residents are paying the rent through their utility bills. Five claims, five checks.

Locked shelves. Closed stores. Higher prices. Failed leadership.  As Attorney General, I’ll crack down on organized retail theft to make New York safer and more affordable.

Local Sheriffs aren't cuffing illegals at the Southern Border. They're catching them committing crimes in our neighborhoods. Albany Democrats want to stop cops from arresting illegal immigrants. Insane. That's what single party rule gets us: less safe streets. From @CBS6Albany:

There's $3billion in unspent state "green energy" coffers from overbilling energy bills. This money was taken from you. And as you read this she's taking more and expecting a thank you? Our Governor really does think you're not "sophisticated enough" to see through it.
8.2 million New York households. $1 BILLION in energy relief. Starting next week, households will begin receiving rebate checks worth up to $200. We’re putting money back where it belongs: in your pocket.

🇺🇸 The Boatlift That Was Bigger Than Dunkirk At 10:45 a.m. on September 11, 2001, a Coast Guard lieutenant named Mike Day keyed a radio in New York Harbor and said the only sentence that mattered. “All available boats. This is the United States Coast Guard. Anyone wanting to help with the evacuation of Lower Manhattan, report to Governors Island.” The boats were already coming. The bridges were closed. The tunnels were closed. The subways were dead. South of the towers, hundreds of thousands of people had nowhere left to walk. Some jumped into the Hudson. Some stood on seawalls that were never meant to be docks and waited for anything that floated. Dunkirk took nine days to pull 338,226 Allied soldiers off a beach in 1940. On 9/11, roughly 800 mariners on about 150 vessels moved as many as 500,000 civilians off Manhattan in about nine hours. Ferries. Tugs. Dinner boats. Pilot boats. Yachts. A retired fireboat. Rubber dinghies that held two people. The largest water evacuation in history. NY Waterway did not wait for the official call. After the second plane hit, the whole fleet moved. Captain Rick Thornton nosed his ferry against a seawall that was not a slip and started taking people off. Some of them he pulled out of the river. His company alone carried about 158,000 people to Jersey City, Hoboken, Weehawken, Brooklyn, and Queens. On a normal Tuesday they carried 34,000. The Staten Island Ferry moved more than 50,000 people and came back the other way with water, bandages, and men who still had work to do in the dust. The old fireboat John J. Harvey, already retired, tied up near the Museum of Jewish Heritage, took civilians off the seawall, then pumped water when the hydrants downtown died. Lt. Day later admitted what the day required. “I broke more rules that day than probably I’ve enforced in my whole Coast Guard career.” In raw numbers it was bigger than Dunkirk. No boat went down. By nightfall the southern tip of Manhattan had been emptied by people who were not on anyone’s list of heroes when the morning started. They were tug captains. Ferry deckhands. Pilots. A lieutenant with a microphone. Ordinary boats answering one sentence. All available boats.

Wow.
Anti-nuke revisionism hits critical mass on Facebook: @SenatorHarckham, 2026: "NYS did not close Indian Point" NYS, 2021: we were "relentless" against "the threat the plant has long-posed" to the area. Bonus points for claiming "emissions will continue to decline"

"I don't understand why New York doesn't just put the solar panels on brownfields and ex-landfills?" After months of digging (my attorney found this), here's your answer... admitted by @NYSERDA themselves in a Five-year Review they published at the end of 2025. As they admit right inside this PDF, placing solar on brownfields results in "sites that are too small to be support economically viable large-scale solar PV development." Commercial solar is only economically viable if developed at-scale. Do you know what this admits? Solar generates such pathetic amounts of intermittent energy in our climate that the industry has to be bolstered by subsidies and credits to be even remotely "functional." Those subsidies and credits will only produce the kind of money the foreign corporations want to see if they are able to take out 1,000 acres at a time. They aren't interested in developing brownfields and rooftops. They aren't interested in "saving the environment," either. If they were, I promise you New York State would find a way to economically incentivize doing the right thing with our farmland and endangered species. They are interested in making as much money as possible, using the ratepayers and taxpayers of our state as the pool of funds. This "Build Ready" NYSERDA program was such a failure that NYSERDA has asked the PSC to terminate the project after it allocated over $70 million to be used during its duration. It's one of the rare times, as my attorney noted, that a state agency has admitted such an obvious failure. Commercial solar cannot stand on its own in an open market. We're paying for its lofty financial protections while they steam-roll our home rule and force these complexes into our rural communities. – at Saratoga Springs, NY

New York State Research and Development Authority is funded by everyone who pays a utility bill in NY. Their leader is appointed by the Governor. They haven't researched. They've overseen more decommissioned power than energy development. They're a major reason your bill is high.
🎉 NYSERDA recognizes @GovKathyHochul’s leadership and commitment over the past 5️⃣years! Even with the federal headwinds and market challenges, the Governor has remained committed to moving ahead with an all-of-the-above energy plan that: ✅ Prioritizes keeping the lights and heat on in a way that is affordable. ✅ Ensures New York’s grid is reliable. ✅ Drives economic development. During this time, NYSERDA’s accomplishments reflect the Governor’s commitment to a clean energy transition and its benefits to New Yorkers. 🎉 Congratulations, Governor Hochul, on 5️⃣ years in office!
