Born in Norwich. There's a student housing block in the city close to where he lived called Pablo Fanque House. It's built on the site of a Mecca bingo hall which used to be the Gaumont Cinema where The Rolling Stones, Gene Vincent and other acts once performed.
You know "Being For For The Benefit Of Mr Kite"?
Pablo Fanque's Fair?
Well this is Pablo Fanque. (Born William Darby)
On tomorrow's Treehouse we have a sighting of him.

Really enjoying the @talkingbottom book. I'm up to the live shows chapters, thought you might like to see a pic of the poster I bought with the script from 's out as mentioned earlier in the book.
Yay! Thanks @talkingbottom! I was going to celebrate the arrival of the book with a slap up grill for two but thought it more appropriate to have a box of London Fried Chicken 😁.
Just catching up with last week's @StereoUndergrnd , Turbulence was on the Let's Get Tattoos single @stevebone1 👍
Hi @talkingbottom, just had an email re Unbound insolvency. Here's hoping that the book will see the light of day and more importantly for you that you get paid 🤞
Got to be Gas and the frying pan beating with the ludicrous idea of bus surfing😁
Rats Rally last night at @Brickmakers2023. Thanks @inheritorsuk for two great sets, safe travels 👍
Here you go @LizKershawDJ, @inheritorsuk performing Norfolk Coast tonight, and a fine night was had by all.
Looking forward to diving "Into The Uncanny", one of today's birthday presents. Hopefully the rest of it is as spooky as the dedication @uncannypodlive ...
Been away so I'm playing catch up with #stereounderground , currently listening to the mellow edition and thoroughly enjoying it whilst cooking mattar paneer (or cheesy peas for Fast Show fans 😁).
Just read Fac 424, 24 Hour Party People, the book of the film by Tony Wilson. Excellent stuff, must hunt down The Hacienda Must Be Built! by @JonSavage1966 now.
