As the virus evolves to be more fit over time, we're sequentially climbing the ladder of infectiousness
Omicron (BA.1) has rapidly evolved into other BA. variants with even more infectiousness and immune escape. Here's my preliminary summary based on the available data. BA.2.12.1's properties (currently 37% of new cases in the US) make it particularly formidable

Thanks for all the positive responses on this poll! I am working on a video (or a short series of videos) which will go into more depth describing how T cells kill cancer and what is being shown in these videos.
POLL: I'm thinking of creating a short video to explain the beautiful bit of biology we can observe in these images of immune cells killing cancer. Is this something you'd be interested in seeing? If "yes" please like - if "heck yeah!" please share 🙃

Fully vaccinated people had a reduced infectious viral load for the Delta variant of SARS-CoV-2 compared to unvaccinated people, according to a @NatureMedicine paper. In Omicron breakthrough cases, reduced viral load was only observed in boosted people. go.nature.com/3KLO8wS
