I guess the main reason I use Tweeter is FOMO, but more often than not o wish I had missed the thing I come across.
Do you put the subreddits you mod on your CV, or do you save the big guns for the fifth round of the interview?
Built a @greensock snippet extension a few years ago and it just hit 9,000 downloads. With AI writing everything these days, I thought it’d be totally dead by now. Surprising and refreshing to see people still building custom, nice-looking websites by hand.

Everyone: "Vibe coding is causing all these security bugs"
Reality: PHP, Node, Linux kernel, GitLab. All hand-written code by humans, some of it 20 years old.
AI isn't creating the slop. It's finding it 🫠
Sometimes I think if I had a time machine, I'd just go back 30 minutes to when I first thought, “I should go to sleep now.”

Gotta admit I'm still trying to get the hang of building with AI. It's amazing at creating showcase stuff.
"Make me a terrain."
<makes a nice terrain>
"Make me a game about foo."
<makes a game about foo>
But iterating on something with an actual idea in mind? It trips over itself non-stop. Implements one feature by destroying 3 others, etc...
I've been trying to rein it in torwards making an actual "game" and not just a demo, and I'm literally just spelling out all the systems it's supposed to make.
me: "Did you using the loading API we made?"
ai: *thinks* Nope, sorry. My bad. Even though I said I used it, I only actually used it in one case, hard-coded random loads in 4 others, and literally compiled the assets into the executable in these other cases.
me: wtf
Am I doing this wrong, or is that anyone else's experience?
