Fundamentals are the base movements/shapes of the position. Techniques are potential solutions to solve problems. Skill is how well a particular tech is applied. (Timing, accuracy, velocity, speed.)
-Fundamentals -Technique -Skill Do you use these terms interchangeable or are they different things to you?

Every Coach could improve if they - limited their instructions to 30sec - eliminated queues in training - played more games

📌 You aren’t an S&C coach unless you work in elite sport. Some thoughts on why this BS is arguably at the heart of all our professions issues Let’s say this is accepted as the truth...

In my experience, the chat goes like this in rugby: “How much of the game do you think is mental?” “Oh that’s massive. At least 50% of it’s in the mind.” “How much money do you spend on mental or psychological preparation of players?” “Nah, that’s all bollocks isn’t it!” 🤔

Don't take sides on purely multi-sport vs specialization Observe the effect It's not that 'early specialization' is bad in & of itself - It's often that multi-sport players may avoid burnout - but by default More coaches, more variation Less repetition, More teaching styles

Most agree that coaching isn’t about you, it’s about the athletes. But: You need to take time off, to recharge. You need to invest in yourself, professionally develop. You need to coach your own way, in your own style. Don’t do these things and you won’t develop anyone.
