It's just that "I May Destroy You" is probably the most beautiful piece of art I have seen on TV or elsewhere in a solid decade. In every possible way. I mean, HOW?? #GoldenGlobes

My hottest Jira take is that Jira is basically fine and the thing you hate is your job.

All you do, all day long, is make decisions
Work client problem A not client problem B
Put designer X on the project not designer Y
There’s a way to be better at making those decisions
That way is frameworks

Fox News is a hate-for-profit racket that gives a megaphone to racists and conspiracists—it’s designed to turn us against each other, risking life and death consequences, to provide cover for the corruption that’s rotting our government and hollowing out our middle class.

Classic corporate tech issue:
- Most people use Outlook
- Efforts by teams to introduce, say, Slack don't get official approval
- So teams switch to unofficial WhatsApp groups
- Corporate introduces, say, Microsoft Teams
- But low adoption as little improvement on WhatsApp

... oh, if some consultant turns up with a solution to organisation then ask them to show you how they run their company in this way. You don't want case studies of others, you want to see them running it for themselves. If they can't, ask them to close the door on the way out.

Before the International Style (modernism) in architecture, our ancestors knew how to adapt the room heights according to the climate, achieving maximum effect (comfort) for the least effort (energy). Today we trust in the grid and so build 8-9 ft rooms from Bermuda to Reykjavik.

"Agility at scale" is nuts. Scale the work down, not the process up. I've never seen an Agile process that was "scaled up" retain its agility. Can very large systems be built in an agile way? Sure. Should they be? Probably not. Build smaller cooperative systems instead.
