When we say the DA will bring back apartheid, we mean economic apartheid, not the old political version with pass laws. The DA defends private ownership of land, mines and banks and opposes expropriation without compensation and nationalisation. That protects the concentration of productive assets that apartheid created. Political rights changed in 1994; the ownership pattern largely did not.
EFF’s position is that real freedom requires breaking that economic structure.
