Weird that I mentioned moderates Kamala and Hillary losing to Trump, and you only focused on attacking Kamala and not Hillary.
Could that be because you were part of Hillary’s losing campaign to Trump in 2016?
Have you ever heard of the word ‘humility’?
The problem with this worn talking point is that voters considered Kamala too left and more left than Trump was right. No one likes to deal with that fact but it remains true. She wasn’t a moderate candidate to the country, just to Mehdi. nytimes.com/2024/09/08/upsho…

Obsessed with this thread of new members of Congress who were never expected to win so no one paid attention to. A good reminder: Compete everywhere because anything can happen.

The election doesn't seem to have been any kind of immediate panacea for Jeffries and Schumer with large numbers of Dems still disliking them in YouGov's first post election poll
“We've had a president in the United States who has made a laughing stock of it. He laughs about it. He says, we'll just switch it off. Who cares? He doesn't understand how big of an issue it is.”

I know Florida has a reputation of being deep red because conservatives flooded to the state post 2020
There has been GOP growth, but as I wrote three weeks ago, the bigger issue is the collapse of Democratic voter registration. Something driven by restrictive laws and the national DEMs leaving Florida with no cash. As a result, Florida has a large unregistered population

Unheralded and underfunded Democrat Victoria Broderick apparently upset incumbent Rep. DesJarlais in deep-red Tennessee. The district lines were redrawn in this year's gerrymandering, but she lost to him by 43 points two years ago. axios.com/local/nashville/20…

These numbers are going up, by the way: A Democratic House staffer told me their office got nearly 800 calls about Jeffries on Friday alone.
Most of the staffers I'm talking to describe this as the most call volume they've ever experienced. axios.com/2026/11/06/jeffrie…
NEW: House Dems "inundated" w/ calls & emails urging them not to elect Jeffries speaker
One member told @axios they got "300-400" calls in 2 days
Another said "over 500"
A third said "higher" than 500: "It's our No. 1 issue, and it's not close." axios.com/2026/11/06/jeffrie…

Because of bigots like Jacky Rosen, this seat remained vacant until Trump eventually filled it.
Jacky Rosen was among the Democrats who joined Republicans in blocking the confirmation of Adeel Mangi, the first Muslim American nominated to a federal appeals court by Joe Biden. Now she’ll be serving in the Senate alongside a Muslim colleague. The irony lol. I’m happy about his election because the racists in both parties took a major L.

@AbdulElSayed to me today, lol.

You can’t tell me that James Talarico, Adam Hamilton or any of these red state Dems are “centrists” in the mold of Joe Biden or other corporatist Dems from the ‘90s. They talk like Bernie Sanders, they are populists. We’ve undergone a realignment. The old terms mean nothing.
Talarico argues pro-business really means pro-big business, socialism for the rich, rugged individualism for everyone else
“I've seen that when people talk about being pro-business, what that usually means is being pro-big business, right?”
“we basically subsidize Walmart through Medicaid because they don't give their employees quality healthcare.”
“So again, socialism for the rich, rugged individualism for the rest of us.”
“And this is not a radical vision. It's what we had before.”

So a lot of folks bring this up when talking about Abdul El-Sayed…
After a horrible attack on a synagogue in Michigan, El-Sayed said “hurt people hurt people.”
Understandably, that sparked a lot of rage.
I suspect, however, that most people didn’t read his full statement, which strongly condemned the attack and expressed sympathy for the Jewish community. It doesn’t read like a defense of terrorism to me. Mentioning *why* someone might have been motivated to commit an evil act is not a defense of that evil act.
I think his point was that to stop violence we have to recognize that there are cycles of violence. Violence feeds more violence. Sometimes you may have no choice (killing Hamas terrorists) but when your bombs kill children, even accidentally, it may lead to more harm.
Of course, after a synagogue attack is not the best time to make such a point, and later he apologized for using that phrase.
Now if you’re sure he’s antisemitic because of statements like this, I’m unlikely to convince you otherwise. But I don’t see this as evidence of him hating Jewish people. And the 60% of Michigan Jews (according to polls) who voted for him don’t seem to have thought so either.
I thought your boss Elon Musk said ‘comedy was legal’ again and you conservatives didn’t like snowflakes who canceled offensive celebs?

The Abdul El-Sayed victory is turning into another very useful litmus test to divide people who think the point of politics is the election vs people who think the point of politics is what happens after the election

Matt's 210th tweet about how progressives underperformed.
Its notable that Matt is not a data analyst at all and is just ideologically captured, and will look for any data to support his already held worldview for which he gets paid to repeat.
It is possible to look these things up and check whether Abdul El-Sayed was unusually good or unusually bad at winning over working class voters.
