Atlanta rapper and social media influencer ‘Shawty Dred’ has been indicted on 63 FEDERAL CHARGES after stealing over $4 MILLION in food stamp benefits.
Meanwhile, he was on Instagram flaunting Rolls-Royces, Maybachs, private jets, and stacks of cash to his 2 MILLION followers.
Shawty Dred was arrested October 13 and now faces 63 federal charges.
Remember, this is TAXPAYER money.

$18M Medicare Fraud Scheme — Trial Conviction
📍A federal jury in Maryland convicted a laboratory owner yesterday for taking advantage of nursing homes that needed COVID-19 tests during the pandemic and fraudulently billing Medicare more than $18 million for testing that nursing home residents did not need, physicians did not order, and, in many cases, were never performed.
📍The defendant used the proceeds from his fraud scheme to fund a lavish lifestyle, purchasing, among other things, a $112,500 Porsche 911, and making $25,000 monthly mortgage payments on his Annapolis waterfront mansion (pictured below).
This result was achieved due to the dedicated service of prosecutors from @DOJFraudDiv/@USAO_MD and agents from @FBI/@OIGatHHS.

Mercedes New, also known as rapper, influencer, and apparent adult content creator Shawty Dred, was charged with dozens of fraud charges as part of the Trump administration's crackdown on food stamp fraud.
New, from 2020 to 2026, allegedly defrauded the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) by using over 350 fake accounts based on stolen identities from the Georgia Department of Human Services, Division of Family & Children Services.
New then obtained hundreds of fraudulent SNAP EBT debit cards that he had sent to multiple addresses in the Atlanta area.
Prosecutors indicted New on 46 counts of mail fraud, 15 counts of aggravated identity theft, and one count of food stamp fraud in his $4.6 million part of the $42 million bust.
