Here's my experience with @itsgearhaus road trips. Nimeenda two so far, na ya fourth niko on. First, hiyo “expensive charge” ni per car, not per person. Unaweza jaza gari bila extra charges. Better yet, unaweza beba parcels udrop along the way, create content, or just enjoy the drive, all while knowing there's a safety team looking out for everyone. Now, safety is where they really stand out. Nimeenda road trips kadhaa, and I've seen everything. Drivers wanakunywa mpaka unaweza smell what a brewery feels like, watu wanafinya magari bila regard for other road users, risky overtakes, na ile famous line “pole gari yako imespoil , sisi tunaendelea, utatupata mbele.” 😂 Others are basically Hollywood live action scenes from Mad Max and Twisted Metal. With Gearhaus, it's different. There's a lead car, na hata kama wewe ni president huwezi ipita. There are safety cars, medics, and even a flatbed travelling with the convoy in case something goes wrong. Coming from someone in his twenties, driving alongside people mostly in their thirties and beyond is refreshing. Most are mature, kuna sanity and people aren't afraid to call out anyone endangering others. Personally, mambo ya pombe na driving, reckless overtaking na unnecessary speeding ndio sipendi. You can enjoy driving without turning public roads into an F1 qualifying session. You're not just driving in a convoy; you're driving as a community. There's always someone looking out for you. And these trips aren't just for expensive cars. I've seen pickups, and on the last trip, we were actually two Nissan Notes, yangu ni Nismo usiite note 😞. Logistics pia zimepangwa. Fuel stops are organised, accommodation details shared beforehand, and you're informed about road conditions, including potholes because apparently KeNHA is always testing us and our cars. Na kama wewe ni kamati ya promotional items, unapewa complimentary T-shirt. Perfect for outdoors, that babe or boy that visits you over the weekend and doubles as a pyjama T-shirt. 😂 Na kama uko single, Kalatinder is there for you.(Never tried it incase my wife is reading this) And that's just part of the experience. Now, someone will say, “Aaah, nani hawezi jipangia trip?” or “Si sisi tumeenda huko mara ngapi?” And that's perfectly fine. You can take that money, fuel your car, drive solo, organise your own convoy, or even stay home. But just because you can organise something yourself doesn't mean paying for an organised experience is pointless. Some people value convenience, safety, structure, and community. Others prefer doing things independently. Neither is wrong. It's okay to accept that people have different interests and priorities. Hakuna mtu amekuwekea bunduki kwa kichwa ati lazima uende. 😂 For me, it's the driving, the people, the organisation, and the peace of mind. And so far, Gearhaus has delivered.

1. We have gone ahead to scout the entire route to avoid any surprises for anyone. 2. Producing high quality films is expensive 3. Fuelling a flatbed to follow guys around in case someone breaks down is a cost 4. Paying mechanics to follow guys around again is a cost. 5. Sorting out the film crew and support crews accommodation/food is a cost. 6. High quality merchandise is also expensive. These are just but some of the cost centres. People never believe it but we have never made money (profit) from any drive. The minimum cost for such a drive for us is about 800,000. Without sponsors, we actually go into our pockets to the tune of hundreds of thousands.

The end of all freedom you have will be this digital wealth you are creating with zero physical wealth . There are people worth 30million shillings ,25 million is in the digital space . Bank accounts ,crypto , insurance, shares and equity . 5 million is in a car ,phone and house items . Paraguayan people woke up to the collapse of the biggest bank in their country , overnight people lost pensions , deposits ,shares and equity. What am I saying, if it can be switched off ,it's good to have but it shouldn't be the only thing you own. Panda ata miti kadhaa ya ovacado ,mbuzi kadhaa na ngombe . Own a debt free house somewhere and a source of water .

Christopher Khaemba once hoped to attend Alliance High School. Years later, he returned as its principal, leading the institution for a decade. His journey took him from the Kenya Air Force and the 1982 attempted coup to rescuing struggling schools, returning six months of unearned salary, investing in the NSE, walking away from his pension and rebuilding after an unsuccessful political campaign. He went on to establish African Leadership Academy and co-found Nova Pioneer. A conversation about money, integrity, leadership and the decisions that define a lifetime.

World Bank is scared of the odious debt discussion. With regime changes world over, they are trying to get ahead of the narrative to ensure they give Kenyans a new target ( the corrupt leaders) so that they are exonorated and Kenya still pays their odious debt.
World bank snitching on everything (that they’ve known for a while) right now means something…

Just seen a video indicating how big Turkana county is. What do you mean that there’s a whole 585km stretch sitting barely developed… and probably more if you drove from Turkana to Moyale - may be even more to Lamu

Ilhan Omar: “Ethiopia and Kenya stole our land. We must work together to liberate our occupied territories. Somalia is for Somalis ONLY!” 😲😲😲😲 How does someone making such statements end up serving as a U.S. Congresswoman representing Minnesota's 5th Congressional District? And how has she just secured another election victory in the United States?

Back in May 2017, I got called to take portraits of the Kenyan President and his Deputy. When I realised the assignment was too huge for me, I called on @allangichigi and made it a collaborative project. This is the story of your gift taking you before important people (Proverbs 18 : 16), the power of collaboration and how having a camera has opened doors I never thought I'd walk through.
