Besides labor and materials, what do you need for more starts? LOTS!!!! Lots ready to be started on today are at the lowest level ever per our lot supply index. Future lots are important too: up 1% QOQ and 2.2% YOY #housing #housingstarts

Yes, big #ecodevo wins from Apple, Google & others will push demand for housing and put more pressure on pricing, but our local real estate market (for sale & for rent) has matured a lot these last few years. We're ready for this.…lnkd.in/dzCTZqv lnkd.in/dCq_ZxZ
Raleigh’s New Home Sales Index is still up 87% YOY, even as some builders curb sales in many of the fastest growing communities. lnkd.in/e4XXWqt
I knew some builders were pausing sales entirely but this is the first time I’ve seen the supply and demand imbalance be so publicly advertised #housingwows
Replying to @EricHiguchi
Since this tweet yesterday, I got an email from a big private builder who basically said- due to unprecedented demand, we are not accepting visits to any of communities at this time as we don’t have any selling opportunities 🤯

Shortage of available housing at all stages - from housing lots to Quick-Move-In and Resale homes - will continue to drive up home prices (and land values) until the market either cools back down or builders are able to catch back…lnkd.in/d6QmU7i lnkd.in/dNvbNdQ
Thanks to my #Raleigh folks who were able to join us for the Q1 Housing Forecast! If you missed it, we have the replay. If you want more detail about where we see new opportunities - and challenges - in our NC #housing markets, message me. Zonda lnkd.in/eqX-bqv

We are thrilled North Carolina is recognized as the 2020 State of the Year by @bizfacilities! Large project wins across a diverse group of growth sectors were cited as a reason NC came out on top. Find out why NC is the State of the Year: ow.ly/XBXh50D0Hy5
Our new home sales index is made up of 2 components: new home orders & the average sales rate per community. We've never seen the gap of the components be so large. This is saying: builders that have the homes to sell are crushing it, but inventory is holding back greater growth

Typically new home sales slow down once schools are back in session, but this year is, of course, different. YoY New Home contract sales are still blowing the lid off in Raleigh, up nearly 82% and leading the U.S. in per project growth. lnkd.in/dvU25gv
