🚨 THE FIRST SPACE WAR IS HAPPENING RIGHT NOW. Right now, above our heads, the first real space war is quietly unfolding - and almost nobody is talking about it. A secret Russian military satellite (Kosmos 2612) just spent weeks hunting a US-registered commercial radar satellite (ICEYE-X36) that supplies critical imagery to Ukraine. It closed the gap from hundreds of kilometers, maneuvered around it, and got as close as a few dozen meters - essentially bumper-to-bumper at ~27,000 km/h. For the first time in history, we can watch non-consensual space combat operations live in real time. This is how space wars start. Silently. In orbit.

Morton salt is mined 2,000 feet below Lake Erie. And now the lake is leaking into the mine. The mine was evacuated, with no injuries. Do not expect the mine to reopen anytime soon. Or ever.

Michigan has apparently decided the MSC team needed an extended vacation! The weather is taking this whole β€œquiet pattern” thing a little too seriously. Can we get a little excitement around here?!

‼️ Apple iOS 27.2 Released With Fixes for 163 Flaws, Including Fix for Critical WebKit RCE Details: cybersecuritynews.com/apple-… Apple released iOS 27.2 and iPadOS 27.2 on October 26, 2026, with fixes for 163Β security flaws. The update covers iPhone 11 and later and a wide set of iPad models. The most serious issues sit in WebKit, the engine behind Safari and most in-app browsers on Apple devices. Apple says malicious web content could run code on a device. That is a remote code execution risk, and it is the reason this update should not wait. Apple published the full list in its security content document for iOS 27.2 and iPadOS 27.2. The company does not report active use of these flaws in real attacks. That does not make the patch optional. #CybersecurityNews

Imagine not seeing the sunrise until after 9 AM! With clocks falling back this weekend, there’s always plenty of debate about daylight saving time. But what if we kept it year-round? While we’d get more daylight in the evening during winter, the trade-off would be much later sunrises! Some parts of Michigan wouldn’t see the sun rise until around 9:30 AM or later. So, would you rather have brighter winter mornings or more daylight in the evenings?

President Trump is urging the Senate to vote immediately on making Daylight Saving Time permanent, saying Americans want more evening daylight and an end to changing their clocks twice a year. β€œTAKE A VOTE!” he demanded. The House passed the Sunshine Protection Act 308–117 in July, but it remains stalled in the Senate.

🚨BREAKING NEWS : Your "deleted" photos aren't deleted. Claude Code found years of them sitting in a hidden cache on my iPhone. I plugged my iPhone into my MacBook to run a backup. I had Claude Code doing a security check at the same time. It flagged something I wasn't looking for. A directory called PhotoData/Thumbnails. Thousands of files. Photos, videos, screenshots. A lot of them were things I had deleted. Photos from a couple of years ago. Screenshots I took and deleted a few seconds later. Stuff I went into Recently Deleted and cleared. Some of it was still sitting there. What I found in that cache: - old screenshots of banking apps - photos I deleted right after taking them - random pictures I didn't want on my phone anymore - a few things I specifically remember deleting more than once When you delete a photo on iPhone, iOS removes it from your camera roll and Recently Deleted folder. But it keeps a compressed copy in a Spotlight search cache so your phone can still find things when you search. That cache doesn't get fully cleared. I checked which apps had Files and Folders access. There were more than I expected, including apps I downloaded a long time ago and forgot about. Any of them could potentially read files from that cache. I went through the list and removed access from most of them. The prompt I used is below. It doesn't take long if you already have a backup. How many apps on your phone have Files access right now?
