this isn’t about TikTok, it’s about censorship. TikTok has become incredibly effective in educating the public on topics main news outlets won’t even cover.
It’s an accesible way for people to share crucial information in a digestible format. They want to censor that.

I cannot believe this has to be said but you don’t have to like tiktok to understand that a federal ban on a social media app is bad. you get that right??

He can't keep getting away with this. Taking completed movies and cancelling them to never see the light of day. Even if there's an audience for it. Just for a tax write off, and even if other studios will play for it, it's not enough. #FIREDAVIDZASLAV #ReleaseCoyoteVsAcme

Nice to see #ReleaseCoyoteVsAcme is STILL trending
Honestly keep it up, it's what Warner and Zaslav deserves. They really think they can get away with this cartoon villain level stuff, and they shouldn't.

The fact that the tweet of Coyote Vs Acme getting deleted has over 11K quote retweets more than the one back in November just shows everyone is fed up at WB and we gotta make this backlash bigger then ever to get this movie to come out

Holy shit, Internet Archive is so so so important for gaming and media preservation. Heck, it was through them I found a CD album for an old flash animation I loved as a kid, and it was NOWHERE else.
As well as so many lost game files.
PROTECT THE INTERNET ARCHIVE, PASS IT ON!!!
Friend of the Court Briefs Filed in Internet Archive’s Appeal — Hundreds of librarians joined prominent library organizations & non-profits in filing amicus briefs in Hachette v. Internet Archive. Read why they believe our appeal should succeed: blog.archive.org/2023/12/29/…

I really hope with what's happening with #AO3 and the #DDoS attack, that people consider donating to the Archive when fundraising time rolls around. In a world of algorithm-driven platforms awash in advertising and gatekeeping, AO3 functions as a true archive, providing a safe place for everyone. This is especially true of LGBTQ/BIPOC creators, who are mostly underrepresented in traditional publishing, and their readers, who are looking for this content. As long as work is tagged properly, you will find readers. And it's all volunteer-based. No billionaires dirtying up the sandbox.
Right now, stay off the site and let volunteers do their work. But when it's up again, remember what these last 24 hours were like.

I’ll be deleting my Redbubble account because some genius there had the idea of adding a fee structure to their already degradingly low payouts.
An example—you sell $300 worth of products and you make $75. You now have to pay Redbubble $28, so you only get $47. Christ lmfao
MicroGalaxies retweeted
.@redbubble has introduced a fascinatingly evil new business model that boils down to "if you're a small artist, fuck you"
they're like "hey, you know that 30 cents you make on a sticker sale? it's 15 cents now & you only get paid once you sell $20's worth. hope that helps <3 "
