Amer Zahr, a Dearborn school board who's said he "stands with" Hamas and Hezbollah, released this endorsement of his good friend @AbdulElSayed the other day. He starts by criticizing El-Sayed for campaigning with Kamala and Obama and for stating "Khameini was a terrible person." (some in Dearborn are upset at El-Sayed for "moderating" on Israel). And then some other interesting statements from Zahr: “But at this point, it’s bigger than Abdul. The goal of enshrining a pro-Palestinian American foreign policy is bigger than any of us." “The real truth is that without the blood of the children of Gaza, there would be no Abdul for Senate.” "Ultimately, Abdul is a politician. Yeah, he’s one of us, but he’s also just a politician "And politicians are tools to get things done for our communities and our causes. They are not heroes or saviors or celebrities. They will usually hedge and equivocate and pander.” "Do we want American policy towards Palestine to be a red-line issue in the 2028 Democratic presidential primaries? I know we do, and that happens much more easily when Abdul wins, when we continuously prove that pro-Palestine politics is winning politics even with imperfect candidates.”
