I'm glad that we have a free and open internet where we can criticize our government all we want. I value the fact that Republicans and Leftys have the right to scream and curse at the best president ever to take office. Sadly China doesn't have that. nytimes.com/2024/06/04/busin…

A smart leader would do something about these people. But we don’t have a smart leader.

The @NYCMayor discourse proves that the DSA types don't want governance. Mamdani is doing a pretty good job so far.

Imagine living through Trump 2.0 and bragging about how you never endorsed the other candidate. Those USAID deaths are on people like this as well, NOT just Elon and MAGA.
Replying to @ireallyhateyou
I never did that but keep lying.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Hasan wrote a July 2024 Guardian piece calling Harris "our only hope" and urging Biden to endorse her over him vs Trump. He maintains this was preference, not telling people to vote for her. theguardian.com/commentisfree/…

Sorry, no, winning in Michigan in a D+9 year does not show you can win anywhere. A Dem majority requires wins in Alaska, Texas, and other states that El-Sayed would lose even in a very friendly year. slowboring.com/p/an-honest-f…

I fucking wonder why they dont.
After spending much of last night disagreeing with Neera at Georgetown for @AJHeadtoHead, I actually agree with her on this. It’s literally insane to be, right now, protesting Mamdani - and not Trump, or Rubio or Vance or the Israeli ambassador - over the Gaza genocide.

I mean it's in a BI article. Donut.

Muted cuz he got OWNED.
This post just shows you aren’t a person worthy of being taken seriously. I’m muting you because you’re not making any points or saying anything meaningful. PS you’re super dumb

If you want to talk bad faith, look at how many times you've avoided the crux of the issue. I'm for the ACA. Seems like you would burn it down because it's not perfect. You already said you didn't think it's a big deal that 40m+ people now have health insurance.
You make a lot of assumptions. I never said I was being objective. I’m saying, objectively, your inability to answer questions and attempts at gaslighting is how a person that loses debates behaves.

If you were capable of voting in 2024 and did anything other than vote for Kamala, then you are directly responsible for Trump and all of the terrible things currently happening.

I’m saying dummies like you would tank the ACA because it wasn’t the perfect bill. How did we get Trump? This attitude is a huge reason.
You’re saying you think it’s good that he received money & his top staffer was from the healthcare industry? You’re saying that’s the best version of the bill and money played no role in preventing things that would have benefited Americans, like lower prices and lower deficit?

A bizarre statement. ACA guaranteed millions of Americans life saving coverage. The parts you whine about didn’t pass because they were unpopular with voters - remember “you can keep your doctor?”
The ACA. Lmao “The Senate Finance Committee chair who drafted much of the bill, Max Baucus, was among the top recipients of health industry money, and his lead health staffer had come from WellPoint, a major insurer.”

Winging because insurers were involved is dumb. What happened when Clinton tried that in 93 with even less political capital. Sometimes I think these people would rather have crap than incremental progress.

40 percent of Michigan voters know who Hasan Piker is. 85 percent do not like him. Data is pretty clear that it's smart to distance yourself from Hasan. El-Sayed seemed to get that.
Didn’t really seem to matter

Trying to attach Hasan Piker to the Democratic Party is going to be pretty ineffective when the entire Democratic Party is rejecting Hasan publicly. Rather than just let the GOP say whatever they want, Dems presented a united front and neutered their attacks. Solid messaging
Can all the democrats celebrating explain how they think they accomplished this? "We successfully made the Hasan Piker attacks a dud by repeating the exact same attacks." Or maybe this isn't a salient issue to voters and it was a big waste of everyone's time.
