Opus 5.5 is the best coding model on the planet. That's why this hurts.
People dropped $200 Codex plans for Claude Code because it felt unlimited. Weeks later, the same people say they hit their weekly limit in 3 days, doing the same work.
One bug report: weekly meter 0% → 54% in 22 hours, on the token volume that took 4.4 days the week before.
When Codex users said the same, OpenAI came back with a number: ~40,000 accounts on the wrong meter.
You shipped a warning in Claude Code. Not an answer.
And your pricing page says you may limit usage "at our discretion."
That's not a plan. That's a mood.
Three asks:
1. Show the real meter, in tokens.
2. Publish a changelog for anything that changes usage.
3. If the GPUs are going to Fable 5.5, just say so.
Don't make your best model the reason people go back to Codex.

Hyvää pohdintaa. Sanotaan, että kyllä aina uutta tekemistä keksitään tilalle, mutta muutos tulee olemaan ”liian” nopea, että kerkiääkö uutta syntyä riittävän nopeasti. Kun +90% toimistotyöstä muuttuu koneen tekemäksi seuraavan 3-vuoden aikana, niin vaatii jokaiselta paljon sopeutua tilanteeseen. Lyhyempään toimistotyön työaikaan päätyminen voisi olla hyvä ratkaisu ja fyysistä työtä sitten päälle, vaikka vanhusten hoidossa.
Jättimäisistä tuottavuusloikista on selvitty ennenkin, mutta tämävoi silti olla jotain uutta.

AI CAN ALREADY DO THE MEP FOR A WHOLE HOUSE. LOOK AT THIS!
The task was a two-story villa with heating and cooling, plumbing, fire sprinklers and lighting, all to US code and shown the way you'd model it in Revit. Claude Opus 5.5 placed the equipment, routed and sized the ducts, ran the pipes and checked everything against the structure. In the end that's 286 ft of duct, 1,006 ft of water lines and 20 sprinkler heads.
What gets me is that it knows the actual workflow and why things go where they go. When the check found a duct going through a beam, it fixed it the way an engineer would, dropping the duct into a soffit under the beam.
It's a Revit-style scene built from scratch, not a real Revit file, and no engineer stamped it. But the tools and the order are the real ones, so you can follow the same workflow in actual Revit. A year ago AI couldn't get close to this.

UPDATE: Dara apologized this morning for the email and she mentioned they’re reviewing the process. So for now, as far as my understanding goes, they are calling off the audit.
I'm not sure if we would have been this lucky had this not gone viral. And I still believe whole heartedly that a relationship with a vendor asking for these kinds of terms is unhealthy. 2026 and beyond will forever change the leverage between software provider and consumer.
We are asking for an evaluation of terms and conditions.
I do appreciate the conversation and the time they took to discuss with us. We look forward to many more.
