But “No Kings,” right @CAgovernor?
Forget that the people you’re supposed to represent voted for — more than once.
You just unilaterally ignore those wishes and do what you want.
Sounds like something a king would do.
What a hypocrite!
I have been waiting 24 years for my neighbor David Westerfield to be executed for the kidnapping and murder of my 7-year-old neighbor, Danielle van Dam. And now thanks to @GavinNewsom, it looks like it will never happen.
I was 13 when he abducted her from her bedroom in the middle of the night in 2002. I would never equate what I experienced with what her family suffered, but Danielle's murder devastated our whole neighborhood, and me personally. I was a sensitive kid and it was a major contributor to my mental health decline in adolescence.
In the 20 days between her disappearance and his arrest, I developed insomnia and spent those nights walking around the house checking the locks on the doors and windows. I followed the trial closely. As we learned the horrific details, I couldn't stop thinking about what she endured during the 3 days he had her.
Her body was found dumped off the side of a road 25 days after she went missing. It was too decomposed to test for sexual assault, but we all knew that's why he took her. He was also convicted of possessing child sexual abuse material found on his computer.
There was never any doubt about Westerfield's guilt. There was an abundance of forensic evidence, including her blood on his clothing and in his motorhome. In 2019, the California Supreme Court unanimously upheld his conviction and death sentence. Shortly afterward, Newsom imposed his moratorium. And now he does THIS.
California voters rejected abolishing the death penalty in both 2012 and 2016, and even voted to expedite executions. All these years, I've held on to the hope that someone would eventually take office who respected the will of California voters and would allow these sentences to be carried out.
It's especially insulting to hear Newsom go on about morality, as if he is morally superior to those of us whose lives were affected by these heinous crimes and who want to see the perpetrators brought to justice. I'm hoping the California Supreme Court can stop Westerfield's commutation.
Sounds like a lame April Fool’s joke but instead just another example of extremely weak university leadership. 400 signatures on a petition? 🤣
@USFDonsAD and @DonsAthletics you’re an embarrassment.

Haley Stevens, who voted with Joe Biden 97.5% of the time and with Trump only 6% of the time was excommunicated from the Democrat Party today because she wouldn’t go through the humiliation ritual of donning the hijab like Peggy Flanagan and Kathy Hochul, nor would she endorse a guy with ties to the Muslim Brotherhood whose friends think America deserved 9/11 and who can’t bring himself to denounce the IRGC.
Graham Platner who is a rapist with an infatuation for Nazism and sending nudes to underage girls on Kik while jerking off in a port-a-potty was not kicked out of the party.
If you’re a registered Democrat holding out hope that there’s going to be some great revival and return to the party of JFK, stop wasting your time. Your party is captive by terrorists, low IQ foreigners, illegal aliens, and people who hate this country and everything it stands for. It’s gone. It’s not coming back. Just leave it.

Let me get this straight: Many of us moved to Santa Clarita Valley, Antelope Valley and North San Fernando Valley because housing was more affordable, the neighborhoods were safer for raising a family and the public schools were better. Commuting to LA isn’t enjoyable but we do it because we chose our families first. Now, our politicians want to tax our commute?
Highest gas taxes; highest sales taxes; among the highest income taxes; among the highest for utilities; among the highest DMV fees. And now, politicians are going to impose a tax on us, the ones who couldn’t afford getting a house closer to LA City, for driving to work?

The CEO of CA High-Speed Rail just resigned. The Rail Authority will move on to its 6th CEO. It has yet to lay a single track.
We cut off federal funding for this doomed project so our transportation dollars can go where they're needed. It's time for the state to follow suit.
Trojans just got better. This guy is the real deal — as a pitcher, hitter and first-class young man.

Truth.
Without exaggeration, @ZavalaA got more news out of @XavierBecerra in 10 minutes than the entire CA legacy media did over 5 months. By not pressuring XB to discuss his positions, many of which turn out to be controversial, CA media abdicated their role in our democratic system.
There are some gems in 10 minutes.
Xavier Becerra’s team gave us about 10 minutes for our interview.
Instead of asking about campaign promises if elected Governor, I asked him how he’ll handle 9 key issues he’d face in the first year.

“You lost track of 83,000 immigrant children.”
“Did you get those talking points from Donald Trump?”
“It’s from a report by the New York Times.”

. @RoKhanna, you warned that Trump was trying to “rig” Alaska’s Senate race.
Today’s New York Times reports that Mary Peltola’s team helped recruit another Dan Sullivan to confuse voters and siphon votes from the Republican incumbent.
In light of that reporting, will you apologize and condemn the scheme involving Peltola’s team?
Does that qualify as a “5-alarm fire” too?

Oh, look, Xavier Becerra thinks you're not paying enough in taxes.
Go get your friends out of their stupor and drag them to the polls to vote for Steve Hilton for governor. Find a polling place:

So lets have a strike because the owners don’t want a salary cap … when what the game most needs is a salary floor.
A discussion for another day!
