This. At @synod, we'll inevitably have the annual debate about whether the (comparatively small) fee for weddings in church should be abolished.
The trouble is, that argument is nuts.
Too often, people don't want to get married; they're pushed into a 'event day' wedding. 🧵
“Martin, I have £13,000 of Credit Card debt, and £37,000 in loans from my wedding this year. I’m struggling to get a 0% balance transfer. Is this due to my loan which I took out six months ago?”

If your an organist and a child say can have a go ??!!!. my goodness get them up on the stall and let them try . the Big Smiles i have seen over the years has lead to many children asking for a keyboard from their parents. and Bang the seed is sown .👍👍👍👍
Whenever children come to visit this happens. I'm absolutely convinced the reason we have a lack of organists is simply not being exposed to the instrument, &/or given the chance to explore. This young lady & her brother were fascinated & loved it!

The № 1 reason people stop attending church is because they moved house. The № 2 reason is because the service times were now inconvenient.

We talk about relentlessness a lot here. And we know it's not always the case that you'll feel relentless when you live with diabetes day in and day out. Diabetes can affect our mental health in lots of ways
But no matter what, you're not alone in the journey 💙

✝️ One of the ways many Christians start and end prayer is by making the sign of the cross. It’s a reminder that we belong to Jesus, the crucified and risen one.
