After a year dedicated to art, fashion, music and design, WUF returned to Basel to turn the spotlight on printed matter. With Celebrating Paper, we explored the book, the page and the editorial object as spaces of reflection, memory and form. Installations, catalogs and hybrid publications shaped a two-day dialogue at the Lounge on the 30th floor of Messe Basel, inside Bar Rouge.

On June 17, WUF Basel 2025 Celebrating Paper opened on the 30th floor of Messe Basel inside Bar Rouge. Between city views and printed matter, @JesseDraxler's U&Air Basel installation floated above the Lounge, setting the tone for two days of reflection on the power of print. Enrico Rassu presented Don't Call Me Fotografo, a project that reclaims the act of looking through raw and personal imagery.

My cover for @la_lettura by @corriere available tomorrow Feb 18th in Italy.
The work I created explores the dichotomy between humans and AI, starting however from the human being as the focal point of the analysis.
The central part of the work encloses my symbolic language with some of the characters of my works. These symbols have precise meanings and represent my personal alphabet. Over time, these meanings may evolve based on people’s interaction with my works. They thus represent the evolving human being, who develops his uniqueness and way of communicating over time through his life experience.
Around this human context, there is technology represented by the part of the work in the background generated by AI. This creative process is activated using my human language as a starting point. Only in this way technology is able to generate the background work, which thus encapsulates the seed of a human intention. This makes us reflect on how man and machine can coexist and collaborate, enriching each other in a virtuous circle, facing new challenges arising with the development of AI.
