Remembrance Day is about honouring fallen humans who fought to keep Canada and the world free
Itโs also what allowed millions to move to Canada since WWII and build better lives here
Thatโs why Don Cherry was right

And set back the countryโs prosperity by decades

Reminder that Canada under the Harper government *did* raise the OAS eligibility age.
Had Trudeau not reversed this courageous reform, we would be spending $11 billion less on OAS by 2029, according to the PBO.
When OAS was created in 1952, the benefit began at age 70. Life expectancy was 68, and the ratio of workers to retirees was 8 to 1.
Eligibility is now at 65, with life expectancy at 81, and the ratio of workers to retirees down to 3 to 1.
The current system represents a massive, unjust intergenerational transfer of wealth which is obviously unsustainable.

๐บ๐ธ A MeToo accusation cost one of MITโs top biologists his lab and his career, and now a jury says it was defamation
A Boston jury of 7 women and 6 men ordered Dr. Kristin Knouse to pay Dr. David Sabatini $6 million plus interest after seeing her own explicit private messages to him, including ones where she asked for rough sex and joked about gang rape.
Jurors also threw out her harassment and retaliation claims.
He says the fallout drove him to attempt suicide.
Knouse is appealing, and the institute that pushed him out still stands by its findings.
Every university that rushed to convict someone in the court of public opinion should be sweating right now...

We want to address some confusion surrounding the investigation into the home invasion in the Bridle Path neighbourhood.
Investigators immediately recognized the potential connection between the home invasion and the individual who showed up at hospital with a gunshot wound.
But recognizing a potential suspect and having enough evidence to arrest them are two different things. Suspicion alone isnโt enough. Police need reasonable grounds, supported by evidence, to make an arrest.
We will continue to gather evidence and will go where the evidence takes us. We are grateful for the professionalism, tenacity and commitment of our investigators who continue this work.
Letโs keep the focus where it belongs: finding the outstanding suspects and holding those responsible for this violent home invasion accountable.
With remembrance day coming up
Letโs remember reconciliation could be done and accomplished
Why hasnโt it found a finish line?
Because then the handouts would end
And the extortion would be over
