Thousands of police officers from across the country gathered in Philadelphia to honor Shane Seiber, a 40-year-old officer killed in the line of duty. Seiber was fatally shot on October 10 while responding to a report of an armed man in West Philadelphia. His partner was also shot 12 times but survived. During Tuesday's funeral, Seiber was posthumously promoted to sergeant, recognizing his 10 years with the Philadelphia Police Department and his military service, including two tours in Iraq. The father of two leaves behind his wife, Lisa, and their young children, Finn and Emily.
