And fwiw, I have been in exactly that situation. You mind your p's and q's, act like you can be a reasonable, cooperative coparent, and wait until everything is final before doing questionable shit

I'm not sympathetic to the divorce angle either. Family court is brutal so if I were in the middle of one with a restraining order hanging over it, I'd be double dog careful not to do some shit that would risk the court giving my kids to a man I didn't think was safw

I don't understand these people. Cultivating genuine friendships with a variety of people from different walks of life is part of what makes motherhood doable for me. It's what makes life doable. IDK what these people are on

I would feel I'd been cheated if I didn't get a snickers and a Reeses in my Halloween handful

My 14 year walks with his friends to the gas station 2 miles down the road and idgaf but I wouldn't leave him overnight for days without supervision

I just refuse to believe they wasn't anyone in their orbit to take those kids overnight at least. My 14 y.o's bff stayed at our house for a week when his grandpa was in the hospital 2 hours away. Might be hard for all 4 but send them to different houses

Fwiw, if your sister wasn't jaded AF by an admittedly emotionally taxing job, she'd have told you that minor care or treatment is often $300-400. That's what I pay each year just for yearly physical, shots, etc. My dog's broken leg was $1,200.

I am a fucking delight, probably because I listen to the topic being discussed and respond in a relevant manner instead of hearing a snippet of a convo and hopping in with both feet to derail the topic with some bullshit.

Lolol there is no "basic requirement" for doing business. If they aren't doing drip after a certain time, it's because no one is ordering it often enough to keep it brewed. Food costs are too high to brew a bag every hour to sell 4 cups the rest of the day.
Coffee shop pet peeve I’m noticing more and more: “Sorry, we stop serving brewed coffee at 10 a.m. Can I get you an Americano instead?” If you are a coffee shop in America, having brewed coffee available anytime you’re open is a *basic requirement* of doing business.

I need you to stop being delicate about it and start thinking of how you'd want her to react if someone, even a loved one kept touching her there. She will learn her own boundaries from the ones you set for yourself.

A splash of milk isn't stretching anything but it does affect the texture. It's just the way your mama liked them

I'm betting she was arrested due to a combination of what the kids told people and the fact that she didn't return earlier than originally planned.

No lololol. It's not explicit because babysitting isn't the same as a lack of adequate overnight supervision over the course of days.

It's almost like I'm questioning the logic of their argument, marie...

I spent $400 at the emergency vet to stabilize my dog and then my regular vet was like, $1200 and we're not sure if it will get your dog healthy, can't you just borrow the money from someone?
