Well no, it was decided pretty unanimously that the Turians were the aggressors in that war and they were made to pay massive reparations to humanity for firing first and asking questions later. Humanity gained their reputation afterwards because of their aggressive expansionism.

Despite humanity being attacked without military provocation, humans gained a reputation as "aggressors" due to the war. Humans in Mass Effect, Ashley especially, are entirely justified in their prejudices. Mass Effect 2 and 3 only justify it further.
I get that it sucks in terms of RP but I think it’s fair for Inquisition because you’re the leader of an army fighting against a crazy demon and his army of evil mages, and the optics of being a blood mage would cause everyone’s head to explode. Veilguard has no excuse though.
