Wait for the VAR audio. The leading comment will be 'Makes contact with the attacker' and the entire follow up will be justifying giving it, looking for contact. Other box, it'd be 'Hasn't made enough contact' and the next few minutes would be about justifying no penalty.

We're significantly better than last seaaon, but the end result is similar. Too many draws. Then, it was throwing points down the drain via overloaded defenders and Gks making awful errors, this year, it's just a sheer lack of ruthless firepower holding us back.

Little thing, but you can see the confidence his team mates have in him, just by how unconcerned the CBs are by 2 Celtic players pressing.

This has all the hallmarks of Aberdeen eventually winning it 4-3 or something silly....

Once again, initial comments on VAR frame the entire incident 'Runs into the defender, small contact' etc. Before it's quickly batted away. At the other end, it's framed with words like 'Defender has caught the attacker late' and 5 minutes get spent on VAR to justify the award.
🆕 A first look at the VAR check from Ibrox where St Mirren were not awarded a penalty for this challenge by Rangers’ Emmanuel Fernandez. Watch the latest Scottish Football VAR Review on @SkyFootball at 6pm!

'Pokey-no-goalie' 'Postie-knock-ugly'. When you try to style out that you forgot the manager isn't Postecoglu.
The sub plot in the Scotland game, is working out how many ways the pundits can pronounce 'Pocognoli' My favourite so far 'Pokey-jig-no-lay'

Listened to an interview with Mulholland the other day. Came away with the conclusion that It's frightening these people run our game. All about '4 Old Firm games a season' No matter what, even if it means butchering unrelated data to back up the point.

Interesting that it's United who get singled out and panned for not playing/producing Scots, yet we're currently mid table in actually doing that, and 3 of the Scots with the most minutes elsewhere, came through Uniteds academy. 🤔 It's all 'Clubs like Dundee United', Though.

"IMO" hopefully, Tony Docherty finds room for Henry Fieldson, Daniel Bennie, Eseosa Sule, Bobby Wales & Bailey Rice in his next squad if space. I envisage maybe 4 promotions from the last U'21 squad with Robbie Ure, Luke Graham, Colby Donovan & James Wilson stepping up. This is an outrageous get, if we can get him anything like his best. Not a direct Agyei type, But, Has a bit of dig about him, great range of passing, a level above in terms of composure on the ball, use of his body to make space, etc. Cool kids call it 'press resistance'. 😅

It's all about '4 old firm games a season, that keeps Scottish football alive, Celtic don't wamt this, Rangers don't want that, B teams to allow them to stockpile young players for longer..' etc etc.

The midfield today sums up exactly what i've been talking about RE roles and composition. Agyei in there suddenly frees up guys like Yoro, Camara etc, whereas in the derby, it was always 1 moment from falling apart with Pan not being the lynchpin that setup needs to function.
