Having had a dormant Twitter account for years, since lockdown becoming active I’m guessing disagreeing with people on the constitutional debate = you’re on a list and blocked 🤩

C’est tellement consternant.

🚨⚡ URGENT APPEAL – WE DESPERATELY NEED AN ELECTRICIAN IN ESSEX! ⚡🚨
We’ve been let down at the very last minute, and we urgently need your help.
At Dogs on the Streets, every kennel we open means another dog can have a safe place to stay, a roof over their head, and a chance at a better life.
We have TWO NEW KENNEL BLOCKS ready and waiting, but we urgently need a qualified, kind-hearted electrician to install the electricity so we can start utilising these kennels as soon as possible.
We are absolutely desperate to get these kennels up and running for the dogs who need us. Every day we wait is another day we cannot make full use of this vital space.
As a charity, we rely on the kindness and generosity of others to make these things happen. We simply don't have the resources of a large commercial charity, which is why we're reaching out to our incredible community for help.
IS THERE AN ELECTRICIAN OUT THERE WHO COULD HELP US?
We are desperately seeking a qualified electrician in the Essex area who would be willing to support our charity by carrying out the installation at a charitable or heavily discounted rate.
We know there are some truly wonderful people out there who care about making a difference, and we are hoping that someone might be able to step forward when we need it most.
⚡ Two kennel blocks.
🐾 So many dogs who need us.
❤️ One incredible act of kindness could help us open these facilities much sooner.
PLEASE, if you are an electrician, know an electrician, or have a contact who may be able to help, we would be so grateful if you could get in touch.
📧 [email protected]
And please SHARE, SHARE, SHARE this appeal. You never know who in your network might be able to help us.

Just caught a snippet of @JohnHealey_MP saying the 90s money New Labour had is gone. The money inherited from MrsT’s groundwork. @ScotTories

I was in Starbucks at Nelson Mandela place, Glasgow, this morning.
Neither member of staff could speak English when I entered, no.....it's not a joke or bullshit.
Both just awkwardly standing there.
Go there if your local, check for yourself.
Two Asian folks serving, a queue of utterly perplexed people all too polite to ask or even acknowledge the utterly bizarre situation in front of them.
After about 3 minutes, another Asian member of staff appeared from downstairs, she could speak a little English and was relaying the orders to them in (Gujarati I think)
I mean, what in actual FUCK?
Then another member of staff appeared....huge with blue hair....yup.
The woman next to me said to her "I don't think your staff understand what we're saying"
She snapped back "they're adjusting to the Glaswegian accent, they'll get used to it"
I jumped in and said "I'm not Glaswegian, I spoke perfectly clear, I don't think it's the accent, I don't think they speak any English"
She then told me to leave if I wasn't happy with the service.
Mental, just mental.

I don’t know what could be more important than a human life that would stop you from taking a moment to help share this tweet with more people.
Every day, innocent people fall victim to the dictatorship’s policies in Iran. They are executed, imprisoned, and subjected to inhumane torture. Every day, innocent people are sexually assaulted in prisons—people who simply wanted to live an ordinary life, just like everyone else in the world.
Please be our voice. Please don’t forget us.

This handsome lad is still waiting for a new home.
Teddy is a 5 year old male Mastiff mix - he is available and looking for a new home.
He eats Ava sensitive skin and stomach mix from Pets at Home.
Teddy is good in the car but only use to short journeys.
He sleeps in the kitchen at night but would sometimes also sleep in his owners bed.
He is registered with the vets and can be left on his own if you need to go out.
Teddy is a big boy, he may knock small kids over, so he would suit a home with older dog savvy kids 10+.
He loves people and is good once he gets a clap, but he is wary of men wearing hats.
Teddy walks well on the lead and he use to go walking with a dog walker and was fine.
Teddy loves a ball rope, he likes to chew on the rope until it's untied.
He likes treats.
There isn't much that Teddy doesn't like, however he doesn't like the sound of metal/shutter noise as he got a fright when he was a puppy.
Teddy loves lying in bed under the covers. He would be best in a home with no other pets or cats.
He isn't really fussed by other dogs when he is out walking.
Teddy knows basic commands.
For more information or to offer Teddy a new home please email [email protected]

When I died my handmaidens and servants were all sent into my tomb which was then locked so they could die inside with me, not our proudest moment tbh
Kinda like Nicola Sturgeons government did with care home residents during Covid though

As always with @theSNP, you can never be sure if it's ignorance, stupidity or just blatant lies. One thing you can always be sure of though, is that it'll anything but truth or fact.

Willow is a 9 month old female Lurcher mix. She is available and looking for a new home as her owner is unwell.
Willow is good with other dogs and kids, she is also healthy with no medical issues.
She is chipped.
She eats a diet of dry food and sleeps in her owners room at night.
Willow is registered with the vets and loves meeting new people.
She is up to date with her vaccinations.
On the lead she can pull a bit when she is returning home. She does have some recall.
Willow loves the car.
She isn’t use to cats.
She isn’t really scared of anything. She loves attention and a cuddle.

This lovely lad hasn’t had any enquiries 😞 can you please share to help him on his way?
Odin is a beautiful 3 year old male Border Collie. He is available and looking for a new home.
Sadly due to the owners health , Odin needs someone who can provide him the stimulation and attention he needs. He is very much loved but would be best in a home with someone who can give him lots of walks and attention.
He is chipped and neutered and healthy with no concerns.
Odin can be wary of strangers to begin with and would need a little time to get use to anyone new.
He is okay with some pets and can be wary of others - due to this, he’d be best in a home with no other pets to save him any unsettlement.
Odin eats dry and wet food and is also crate trained.
He loves toys and can be strong on the lead.
Odin has had the same owner since being a pup.
He isn’t a fan of the hoover but does love to play with a ball.
He is more of a fan of women than men, so may be best with a lone female looking for company, although we will consider male households too.
Odin is very loving and affectionate. No cats.
For more information or to offer Odin a new home please email directly to [email protected]

We often hear people say, “I couldn’t adopt an old dog. I couldn’t cope with losing them so soon.”
But what about the dog? They can’t bear the thought of dying alone in a kennel, either. And the truth is, we could lose a young dog at any moment, too.
Sometimes, we need to be stronger for them. To put their needs before our fear of heartbreak. Because giving an old dog a loving home, even for a short time, will mean the world to them.
What I love most about volunteers visiting Galgos del Sol is seeing how often their minds change. They come to meet the dogs, witness their daily lives in kennels, and discover what a difference they could make. They begin to understand that rescue isn’t just about finding a dog to fit into your life, altho that’s off course important, It’s also about seeing the dog who needs you most, and asking what you could offer them.
Of course, adopting a puppy or a younger dog is every bit as much a rescue. Every dog deserves a home. ❤️ But there is something incredibly special about giving an old dog the chance. And that’s exactly what Catherine has decided to do.
After volunteering at Galgos del Sol twice in just a few months, Catherine & Shaun have opened their hearts to Rubio, an elderly boy, isolated his whole younger life who now struggles to interact with other dogs. His time is precious. They have chosen to give him the retirement he deserves, lots of adventures, rather than kennel walls.
Thank you, for reserving our old, lumpy boy Rubio. ❤️ Even after recently having some lumps removed, he deserves this. Rubio will leave in the next months 💕
