The audacity of Shell asking YOU what YOUβRE willing to do to reduce emissions. π
Theyβre showing you RIGHT HERE how the suggestion that indiv choices - not systems - are a main driver of climate change is a fossil fuel talking point.
Yes, make good choices. Reign in FF corps.

Iβm willing to hold you accountable for lying about climate change for 30 years when you secretly knew the entire time that fossil fuels emissions would destroy our planet π

Fun fact, the IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climat Change) Working Group 3 Lead Author meeting starts tomorrow in Bangkok, amidst one of the worst climate change disasters ever to hit the city. JFC.

What we must do immediately:
1) End the use of fossil fuels
2) Build massive amounts of solar & wind
3) Electrify everything
4) Localize
5) Conserve
5) Find solutions for the last hard stuff (planes, cement)
6) Stop cutting down forests

Germany pledges to phase out fossil fuels for first time with target of 2045.
Campaigners say plan marks notable shift away from oil and gas as previously pledges were only for carbon neutrality. theguardian.com/environment/β¦

Good to see Foreign Secretary presenting findings of the suppressed Joint Intelligence Report on ecosystem collapse to other governments.
But when is it going to be shared with the rest of us? It should be published in full

I asked the programmer if
AI might kill off humanity
and she said: donβt worry
climate change will kill us first.
So I asked the climatologist if
weβll pass the 1.5Β° threshold
and he said: donβt worry
AI will kill us first.
So I asked the historian
and she just said: worry.

We know with high certainty climate change will produce catastrophic civilizational consequences, while AI ending civilization is highly speculative. Itβs worth asking why weβve retreated from confronting the former while elevating the latter into an existential certainty.

Tech giants are racing to build energy-hungry AI data centres, powered by fossil fuels.
They're cashing in whilst worsening climate breakdown.
We will live with the consequences - more droughts in summer, floods in winter.
Ban data centres that rely on fossil fuels.

Donβt worryβ¦ Trump says AI wonβt kill us, just like he says Climate change is a hoax.

We are watching the same mistake again. Build something huge, ignore the environmental cost and scale it as fast as possible because billions are at stake. The billionaires get richer while ordinary people pay the price.
AI data centres are consuming enormous amounts of electricity and driving up demand. The people making billions wonβt be the ones dealing with higher bills, polluted air, extreme heat, water shortages and climate damage. They make the money. We get the fucking consequences.

We need to shift the narrative from make petrol cheap to make petrol redundant.
The longer we rely on fossil fuels, the more expensive life becomes.
