Carrick stays.
After eight without a win, an owners meeting and days of talks, United have decided the answer is to change nothing.
Not convinced by the options, but convinced by eight without a win. Rank incompetence from the top down.
I'm done. 👇

🚨 Just now on @BBCMOTD
“BBC Sport understands tonight that the owners of the club are in discussion about Carrick’s future”
Disgraceful, Glazers & Ratcliffe formalising sacking Carrick tonight.
They should be formalising putting the club up for sale, absolutely shameless! 🚮

The Director of Football (at least) has to be responsible when the Football is failing. That's the job.

Dropping Cunha and Bruno was not going to change anything. This is about coaching not individual players.

United’s next manager decision is likely coming, and it isn’t simple.
Emery: very highly admired, but costly and hard to prise from Villa mid-season. Conte, Nagelsmann and Howe: all free right now. McKenna a temporary option?
The choices & latest discussed? 👇

Big Live on the current situation, Bruno, Carrick, infighting.
On manager front: Emery is very highly admired upstairs, but he’s expensive and tough to get mid-season.
Major calls to be made, with Howe, Conte, Nagelsmann in frame among others.
Let's talk about it. 👇

Bruno Fernandes called out Michael Carrick’s tactics but manager suggests tactics go out of the window when players don’t bother running.
Manager under huge pressure.
What a mess.

Live now. Como away, six without a win, 2 wins in 10. Will Carrick make brave changes?
Plus Ten Hag, the Bruno problem, contract fractures splitting the squad & much more.
Let's talk 👇

United’s dressing room is fracturing, and it’s no surprise.
Big earners on expiring deals, players who think they’re owed new contracts, and a squad that’s failed for years.
Over £1m a week is tied up. This turnover should have been faster and far more ruthless.

Progress? Intensity? A better performance? Well no...
39% possession. 13 box touches. Out-run by 4km. Lowest possession and fewest box touches of the season.
The strange narrative around this game, with management concerned over performances, and a real review 👇

United vs Leeds at Elland road.
Two wins in nine, and Carrick has never beaten Farke in the league. Carrick goes with a similar lineup to Atletico mid week.

2 wins in 9. The worst league start in 40 years. And it isn’t getting easier as we sit in 14th.
What do we do with Bruno? Is Carrick running out of time? And does January need to be more than a left-back?
Big discussion live now, squad vote in the chat 👇
UnitedMuppetiers retweeted
Carrick has lost all five of his league meetings with Daniel Farke.
Elland Road on Sunday. Five without a win. 2 wins in 9, our worst run in years. Last legs for Carrick & this season?
