Kanz is an outstanding leader and one of the brightest and most ambitious people I’ve gotten to work with. Cannot say enough good things about him.
Mariners fans are going to love him
The Mariners will reportedly hire Jason Kanzler as their next manager, sources tell MLB’s @DKramer_.

"The Turning Tide" rolls in Nov 10. Several retailers have cut the preorder price well below the cover price. Now is a smart time to order a copy.Or, if you can, order from your local independent bookstore. Those booksellers have hand-sold my books for years &I’m grateful to them. admiralstav.com/turning-tide…

Classic Soviet negotiating strategy was to make incredibly unreasonable demands and then "settle" for the advantageous strategic advantage they were looking for in the first place.
1. Putin is not interested in negotiating.
2. Putin CANNOT negotiate a fair and equitable settlement because this outcome would be perceived at home as a failure.
3. Like all autocratic dictators, Vladimir Putin cannot be perceived at home as "failing." A failure would quickly bring about a "Qaddafi solution" -- and Putin knows this.
4. Contrary to what Russian disinformation (repeated in the West by useful idiots and those unfamiliar with Russian history), Russia is NOT winning in Ukraine.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has proposed that he, President Trump and Chinese leader Xi Jinping meet next month to attempt to negotiate an end to the war in Ukraine that would favor Moscow, said people familiar with the discussions. on.wsj.com/4BeZLqz

I MADE HISTORY! HERSTORY!
I created the PROTECT Act, which was reintroduced as the RECLAIM Act and officially signed into California law!
After years of fighting for stronger protections for women and children and founding Foundation RA, this moment means everything to me.
Special thanks to Assemblymembers Rebecca Bauer-Kahan and Diane Dixon for helping make this possible!
This is just the beginning. California today, the world tomorrow!

86 years ago today the Battle of Britain reached its climax in the skies over southern England. The Nazis planned to annihilate the RAF ahead of invading Britain. The bravery of the members of Fighter Command ensured they didn't.
Pilot Ronald Berry: "'I never thought of killing anybody. I just wanted to shoot them down."
Never in the field of human conflict was so much owed by so many to so few. You can hear directly from those few in this @I_W_M collection:

In Kherson, a Russian FPV drone deliberately targeted a teenager who was trying to take cover. His fate is still unknown.
Reminder: Russians practice what has become known as a "human safari" in Kherson and along the frontline, deliberately hunting and killing civilians with First Person View drones for sport, fun, and target practice.
This is unspeakable, monstrous crime against basic humanity, and it continues unpunished, virtually ignored by the world for years.

In the middle of a war, the Islamic Republic still finds time to flog this young women for music.
Anita Papist, a young Iranian singer, has been sentenced to 74 lashes.
Her crime? Singing and uploading her video on Instagram.
The regime confiscated her passport. Blocked her phone. Now they want to silence her voice.
This is called gender apartheid. A total apartheid against women.
Be her voice

To me, yhe worst thing about this war emotionally is that it never leaves you any room to breathe or heal.
You feel like a trainwreck? But the war goes on.
You are sick, in pain, cannot get up, cannot take cover? You get bombed on top of that.
You are drained and exhausted by constant stress, anxiety, and loss? You get more stress, anxiety, and loss.
Nothing ever stops, no one truly heals, you just push everything aside to keep going for years and years and years.

"This century, baseball increasingly is a sport where value is created early but compensation arrives late. Younger players are producing more wins than ever before while veterans continue receiving a disproportionate share of payroll."

When this war is over, and Ukraine is victorious and whole again, and every innocent victim, every fallen defender, every destroyed city and town is documented, let no one say they did not know. These Russian crimes against humanity are happening in full view in real time.
